Yoda (ASWS)
The Star Wars wiki of fan invention.
- "Blind we are if the creation of this clone army we could not see."
- —Yoda[src]
Yoda was the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order during the crisis on Utapau. He trained many notable Jedi when they were younglings, including Jard Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windy and Ki-Adi Mundi. During the mystery about the cloners on Kamino, Mace Windy informed him that there was a clone army being built that was to be used for the Republic and that it was ordered by a supposed Jedi Master named Sido-Dyas, despite the fact that neither of them had ever heard of a Jedi by that name. Mace also informed him to locate Jango Fett, the host of the clones who was supposedly a Mandalorian. Despite Ki-Adi Mundi's recommendation, Yoda believed very strongly in keeping the blindness of the Jedi Order within the Force out of the publics knowledge.

[edit] Biography
[edit] Early life
Yoda's origins were unknown during the time that he served as the Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. After he became Grandmaster, he inducted numerous Jedi into the Jedi Order. Yoda also trained many other Jedi while they were in youngling clans. A small handful of these younglings went on to become high ranking members of the Jedi Order, some of them being Ki-Adi Mundi, Mace Windy and Jard Dooku.[1]
[edit] Kamino mystery
Shortly before the Invasion of Utapau was reported to the public and the Jedi Council, Yoda traveled with Mace Windy and Ki-Adi Mundi on a mission to Ansion aboard the Jedi flagship Chu'unthor. On the return trip, Yoda spoke with Mace about a planet called Kamino that was locaed near the Rizhy Maze. They had both heard of the planet and knew that they were conducting cloning experiments that would have been considered illegal in the Galactic Republic, but because Kamino was located far beyond Republic jurisdiction the Jedi Council was not able to declare the experiments illegal, nor could they legally shut them down. However, Mace and Yoda had both heard rumors from the previous few weeks that a clone army was being constructed on Kamino for the Republic. Mace agreed with Yoda when he said that the matter should be investigated, and he also agreed to travel to Kamino to uncover the truth about the rumors.[2]
Two days later, Mace traveled to Kamino to find out information about the reports. When Mace finished his investigation, he contacted Yoda who was with Ki-Adi Mundi and informed them about how the army was to be used for the Republic rather than against it, as well as the mysteries surrounding Sido-Dyas and Jango Fett. According to Mace, the Kaminoans said that a Jedi Master named Sido-Dyas ordered a clone army to be used by the Republic and handpicked Jango Fett, who was possibly a Mandalorian, to be the host for the clones. Yoda ordered Mace to find Fett, as they both knew the Republic would be in danger if the Mandalorians were involved.[3]
When the transmission ended, Yoda and Ki-Adi contemplated on what was said and they both agreed that the order was blind if they could not see the creation of the clone army. However, they did differ on one key detail. Ki-Adi suggested that they inform the Senate of their newfound handicap in the Force so they knew that it would be harder to rely on them, but Yoda refused. He believed that if the Senate was informed as to what their problem was, their adversaries would multiply as it was very likely that whoever was behind the plot with the clones was in league with someone in the Senate. Ki-Adi reluctantly agreed.[3]
A few days later, Yoda and Ki-Adi learned that Mace had apprehended Fett on Nar Shaddaa and had brought him to the prison wing in the Jedi Temple. Ki-Adi attended a meeting of the Jedi High Council shortly thereafter, where Jedi Master Rana Quemin chastised Mace and those involved for not consulting the Council before going to Kamino, though Mace argued that he did what was in the best interest of the Republic. The topic was placed on hold when Jard Dooku and Obi-Wan Kenobi came before them, where Obi-Wan reported that he had been attacked by a Sith Lord. Yoda was suspiciously skeptical of the claim, as the Sith had been reported extinct for one thousand years, but what came as an even bigger surprise to Yoda was Obi-Wan's claim that a young man named Annikin Skywalker might have been the Prophecy of the Chosen One. Although unsure about the claim, Yoda and the rest of the Council agreed to test Annikin to see if he could be accepted for Jedi training.[4]
