The XB-50 light repeater was Parable Weapons' second attempt at a purely military weapon. The XB-50 was manufactured for the specific purpose of arming the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances military forces. The weapon design was incredibly reliable and each power pack was able to expend 75 shots before depleting itelf.
The drawback of the weapon was that it used an advanced power cell, and the magazine was not compatible with normal power cells. After the first year of production, however, Parable manufactured a converter that allowed a normal power cell to be used. The less advanced power cell provided only 40 shots before the clip needed to be changed, however.
