Version 2 was the fifth and final single from SlipKnoT's second album, Mortis Approaching.

The longest of SlipKnoT's song, standing at 15:43, Version 2 dealt with SlipKnoT's evolution of DeMoin Metal in "DeMoin black Metal" and how it had affected their lives, and the lives of their fans. Considered by many to be SlipKnoT's second best song (after Dual Nature), Version 2 was SlipKnoT's first song to win an award in the Galactic Music Awards.
