The Vandals

Commanders

Hurk Choi

The Vandal Wars were two different wars presided over by the Separatists under the Anointed One, the Republic under Nathaniel Kenobi, and the Vandals, otherwise known as common smugglers united to defeat both powers. Their purpose was to rule the Galaxy and control the rates and prices of the stuff they sold. They were from 20 BBY to 19 BBY.

Nathan was given instruction by the Jedi Council to enforce Republic law on some random smugglers and he found out that they had been planning a much larger business than smuggling...they wanted the whole sabacc pot!

The Vandals were led by the Aleena Hurk Choi, who was a cousin of Tsui Choi. He had rebelled against Tsui's teachings as a Jedi, and instead became a smuggler. The Vandals base of operations was on the planet Daluuj.

[edit] The War Begins

The Separatists and Republic were both attacked by these united smugglers on different fronts. They were extremely well-organized and had seemingly limitless ships to fight with.

Still, neither the Republic or the Seps ever took them seriously, which was why Nathan—being only a mere padawan who was about to face the trials to become a Jedi Knight—and the Anointed One were sent.

A token force from each side decided to settle their differences for the time being and work together to stop the Vandals. The clonetroopers under Nathan's command were not that happy about the situation, but listened to his counsel since he was their superior officer.

Nathan, at the time, was still very green when it came to warfare, so the ARC leader in charge—Joker—agreed to help him gain the necessary skills needed to win engagements. Eventually, Nathan gained confidence in his abilities and was finally able to lead effectively.

Their first engagement was at the planet Garos IV—called the Battle of Garos IV. This was a crushing defeat for the Vandals and it appeared that Hurk had been killed during the fight.

As a result, both sides viewed the "Splendid Little War" as officially over. Unfortunately, this was not the case, as the dead "Hurk" was an imposter and the attacks continued.

Nathan was given medals of valor for his involvment, and was given the role of Jedi Knight. This was given to him by his Master Huk'le.

[edit] Rebirth

Working in secret, Hurk amassed more followers, as he showed that the Jedi were not as infallible and powerful as they seemed. They could be fooled, quite easily depending on whom it was. Once again he attacked both sides, killing the victory marches that had followed the end of the first war.

In 19 BBY, the two major powers at war, were forced to work together to stop them. Nathan—as he had handled the first one to the Council's specifications—was again given command of the Republic's forces.

Joker and he were forced to work with the Anointed One again, yet, this time, he felt a sort of kinship between him and the member of the Anointed People's species. He felt that he had potential in the Force and could be trained, unfortunately, the Council would never approve, as he was "too old" for the training.

He was visited during the night by his ancestor: the Jedi Exile. She told him of how she had trained several very "too-old-for-training" force-sensitive individuals during the Sith Civil War. And without them, he wouldn't be where he was today, as they had singlehandidly resurrected the Jedi Order. Gaining confidence from his ancestor, he decided to teach the Annointed One in the ways of the Force without the Council knowing.

The Anointed One proved very adept in the Force and Nathan's confidence in himself grew tremendously. They fought against the Vandals time and again, never losing, but never out right winning either.

Devastation followed as Joker died in a ground assault at Telos. This left Nathan emotionally drained, but thanks to his newfound friendship with the Anointed One, he was able to overcome it.

[edit] Behind the Scenes

Inspiration for this came from when I looked at the Wanted pages and saw this with a lot of redlinks.
