[edit] Warning
| Warning. Always categorize your articles. You failed to categorize Kundun's Holocron, so I categorized it for you. Failure to do so in the future will lead to your articles being deleted and possibly a block. -- Knowledge the Article Writer talk 20:12, 17 June 2008 (UTC) |
[edit] Feeding Upon the Force
The article Feeding Upon the Force was deleted because you did not categorize it. - President Brandon Rhea

[edit] Re:Creating Categories and Infoboxes
Okay? I'm not sure what you want me to say. You didn't ask me a question. All you did was say that you wanted to make infoboxes and categories, which anyone is allowed to do. - President Brandon Rhea
(Pressroom) (Record) 19:09, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- You create categories just like you would create an article. Let's say you wanted to make Category:Jelly Beans (just an example). You would go to the article creation box on the main page and type in Category:Jelly Beans and when you got to the blank screen, you would type "This category is for articles regarding Jelly Beans". Then you would categorize the article with an appropriate category. As for creating an infobox, I've never done that so the best person you could probably ask is Squishy Vic. - President Brandon Rhea
(Pressroom) (Record) 19:25, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sourcing
"Wookieepedia" is not a proper source according to our Image Policy, which you should have read, so clearly "Probably Wookieepedia" is not either. The proper source is KOTOR 2. I have fixed this for you, but I will not in the future. This is your only warning. - President Brandon Rhea
(Pressroom) (Record) 00:39, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Eras
I don't see why they can't just coincide. Plenty of eras from Earth are called different names but take place at the same time. Just write a separate one for Kundun and for the Refugee era. If you need any help, contact me.

I have no way to reconcile that. Mine has to happen then. Just do what I normally do when things like this pop up: Ignore it and focus on bettering your articles. If there's still a problem, please let me know.

[edit] Infoboxes
It's not hard to do. Just copy and paste the code from any updated infobox ({{Jedi character infobox}}) and change the colors. --Victor (talk) 19:19, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
Well first you have to know the color codes, which are divided into three pairs of two digits, making up six total digits. For example, #000000 would be black, #FFFFFF would be white, etc. You can search for them anywhere on the net (simply type in HTML color codes or Hex color codes). To add fields, it's a bit hard to describe, so I'll jsut demonstrate below:
The following will create a new field, such as this:
{{#if:{{{weight|}}}|
{{!}}-
{{!}} class="infoboxlabel" style="{{#if:{{{3|}}}|background: #{{{3}}}|}}" {{!}} Weight
{{!}} class="infoboxcell" style="{{#if:{{{3|}}}|background: #{{{3}}}|}}; {{{css|}}}" {{!}}
{{{weight|}}}
{{!}}-
|}}
Just be sure to properly add it between old fields.

[edit] Vote
Your vote in the ongoing Administrative election has been stricken because you do not yet meet the requirements of the Voting Policy, meaning you have not been here for one month and you do not have 250 article edits yet. Please remain aware of this in the future. - President Brandon Rhea
(Pressroom) (Record) 23:32, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Eras
Sorry, I don't do era icons anymore. That message is outdated because I forgot to remove it when I was still an adminstrator and I have since retired and therefore have no interest in making era icons. You may contact someone else who can do them, or do them yourself (it is fairly easy). --Victor (talk) 21:35, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- No, there is not. But I can tell you: All you have to do is grab an existing era icon (the 30x30 ones) and paint black over whatever symbol it may have, to make it a clean/blank slate. Then, just properly resize whatever image you wish to use for your era icon (make sure it's white/decolorized) and place it in the black space. Then, just upload it. --Victor (talk) 21:39, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Nathan's Holocron
Thanks for the offer but no, knowing him it would probably stay with his family after his death and remain there.

[edit] Unknown Ice World
Momergil, whilst I respect your eagerness, I do not appreciate you making edits like you did to my article Unknown ice world. You have absolutely know way of knowning any of that information, or even that the planet looks like Hoth. Besides that, the article is not big enough for an infobox, hence why there is not one on it. Darth Abeonis Sith Council Sith Campaign 20:06, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Names
Like Wookieepedia, we usually pull a woman's maiden-name and last name in the article's title. An example would be Mara Jade Skywalker. Therefore, yes, the name would be Ann Zaff Roll. --Michaeldsuarez

[edit] Thought I'd point out
You have a note on your user page about no longer writing articles, yet you are creating new articles. --SoulReaper079(Requiem) 05:04, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Sourcing
Every WoW image you just uploaded is incorrectly sourced. You cannot cite a wiki as a source because wikis are not primary sources. You need to cite World of Warcraft as the source, so please go back to every image you just uploaded and correct this. Thank you. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 14:17, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- It's not so much what I wish, but rather what's required under our policies and copyright laws.

[edit] Block
You have been blocked from editing for twenty-four hours (one day) for failing to properly sources images you uploaded to this wiki, despite a previous warning. The image in question, Image:Era-Ke.PNG, has also been deleted. When you return from your block, please be sure that you have read and become familiar with our entire image policy so that this does not happen again. If you have any questions about your return, please let me know. Thank you for your future cooperation. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 16:49, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Responses to your questions
Let me respond to your questions:
- Virtually every era icon uploaded here was uploaded before we actually had an image policy. The image policy says that all images must be sourced. You need to follow the example of the image policy, not the example of other users. Never assume that other users are doing it right. Just follow the policy.
- It doesn't matter if you have another similar version: all images uploaded to this wiki must be sourced.
- Warning you about not having a wiki as a source is still warning you about the image policy. If you're warned about not following the image policy, regardless of what part of the policy that is, then that means you're expected to read the image policy.
- My message about contacting me on my talk page was about contacting me after your block expired. If you wanted to talk to me before that, you could have used the administrative email or you could have contacted me personally by using Special:EmailUser, which is still available for use even when a user is blocked.
- About your "unique situation", I have no idea what you're talking about. I didn't delete any images of yours for being fan works used without permission. The only image I deleted of yours was deleted because it was not sourced.
- Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 19:54, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
Responses to your responses:
- Good!
- We don't block people for not knowing how to source images. We block people for not sourcing images, even if they know how and just happened to forget to do it (assuming, of course, they've already been warned).
- Cool.
- It actually seems that I forgot a word or two in my comment about contacting me, so that may be where the confusion began.
- Ah, well either way you'd have to talk to the administrator who deleted your stuff.
- Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 18:30, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Eras
I added your era, you use it by placing {{Eras|kundun}} (copy & paste that) on an article. Cheers. :) –Victor
(talk page) 21:45, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Non-canon eras
Unity era, Dark Age, Darkness era, Infinbelum era, Infinotium era and Refugee era are NOT available for free use. They are eras specifically made for the fanon of other users, and you cannot use them in Timeline of Kundun's history or any other of your articles without the permission of the creators of the eras. Just because something is on Template:Eras does not mean you can use it without permission. Please either receive permission to use these, or remove them from your articles completely. Thanks. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 23:13, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- You're welcome. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 18:02, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
Use the page history. View it by clicking "History" up at the top. Then search for the person who made the first edit (the first edit will be at the bottom). - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 18:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
You do know that you don't have to follow what everyone else has placed as their history, right? If the Refugee era's causing this much of a problem for you, then you can make one up to better suit your articles. Hope that helps. (And no you cannot use the Refugee era, because I've had enough with people asking. Oh, and I don't mean to sound angry, because I'm not.)

- So long as you title it something like Refugee era (Momergil), that's fine. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 18:31, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- It's fine, you can use the Unity era for those articles; although I should point out that you have the starting date wrong for the Unity era in your Timeline of Kundun's history article… it starts in 121 ABY, not 137 ABY. Darth Abeonis Sith Council Sith Campaign 18:56, 12 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, considering those two articles just mention the Darkness era in passing, yeah, you can mention them. But if you do more detail, let me know. Thanks. Darth Mavoc (Talk) 00:02, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Name problem
I put {{conjecture}} on it, so it's fine. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 00:37, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
- If the nickname has a "The" on it, then just move it back, it's fine. However, I would recommend you place a {{nickname}} template at the top instead of {{conjecture}} to avoid any future misunderstandings. Darth Abeonis Sith Council Sith Campaign 20:13, 15 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Category problem
I just put it into Category:Eras. Eras can have eras within them.

[edit] Re: Source problem
You have to put the link there, regardless of what other content there might be. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 19:37, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- If I may follow up Rhea. Momergil, you should probably think seriously about cutting back the number of women you use for pictures. Quite honestly, I can't stop you, but I think I speak for most of the wiki when I say that you should probably just use no pictures at all. After all, it leaves more to the imagination, doesn't it?-- CurrentBigThing (Speak) 20:32, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Grammar problem and "Can I?"
In the present tense, you would put the "s" on the end. You would say "Luke Skywalker defeats Darth Vader", for example. As for your image question, if it says the rights are reserved to the author then you may not upload the image without their permission. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 20:43, 17 April 2009 (UTC)
- That doesn't matter. If it says the rights are reserved to the author, you still have to ask for permission, regardless of whether or not it's a fan work. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 20:22, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Bye?
Are you leaving SWF, Momergil? - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 22:32, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
- I'll delete your articles, but I'm not going to ban you. I don't ban people just because they ask me to. That's not what the ban feature is there for. Maybe another administrator will be willing to do so, but I won't do it. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 23:40, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Banning is punishment for rule breaking. I'm not going to do it just because you asked nicely. - Brandon Rhea (talk) (contribs) 00:42, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

- If I'm not mistaken, you were the mastermind behind the Imperium-class Star Dreadnought. You brought the Galactic Empire to a new era with that ship. We don't want this wiki to lose a genius like you. If you leave, I'll be crushed by the loss.
- Thanks for uploading the link. Also, thank you for giving great contributions to SWFanon. I will never forget you. --Auf Wiedersehen, Momergil.
