Image HelpEdit

Hello, Brandon Rhea. My name is The Dark Lord of the Sith. I am just starting out here and was wondering if you would be kind enough to give me some assistance uploading an image to the Wiki. I know the basics considering I'm an administrator on the Kingdom Hearts Wiki and have been using Wikia wikis for some time now, but I've never had to deal with an image policy this strict and professional before. I know what's required to upload an image and ensure it doesn't get deleted thanks to reading the image policy, but I hesitate to proceed because I fear I'll do something wrong. Hey Brandon, I didn't know if I should reply here or on my own talk page. You just sent me the official welcome this morning and I wanted to say thanks. Also, I've been on and off the site for the past couple of weeks and I was curious about who were the category winners for the short story contest. If you or anyone else could tell me, that would be great cause I read a couple of entries and really enjoyed them. I started to put an entry up for nomination myself because I'm at the beginning stages of writing a novel about a previously undiscovered species, but I changed my mind. Most of it is still in idea form and, though I've got quite a bit of material down, nothing is really finished yet. I think I'm going to buckle down and put the prologue together sometime in the next couple of weeks, then put it up for review at the Writing Center. Depending on how large or small you want the heading to be you use more or less equal signs, respectively.

Grammar error in Chapter 2 of TCO Edit

What a ridiculous thing to say!, he thought.

Fanon stealing, need some advice Edit

Because if we do, I think it's to blame for this. Granted, removing all that automatically-generated code boosts my edit count, but if the visual editor is to blame for that, I'm going to bring it to Wikia's attention. Uploading an imageEdit

Hey I'm having a difficult time trying to upload an image. I've read your image policy and tutorial but I can't seems to upload an image. I keep using special:upload but it won't let me. It says I don't have "permission" which I don't understand. I then went to the article where I intended to post the image but it just tells me that I can't upload images on this wiki. This guy is at it again. He obviously knows that he's banned on Wookieepedia and is trying to hide that fact, because he claims that he's being told to sign in or register, when the message that he's actually seeing says nothing of the sort. If he was truly innocent (i.e. the IP address had changed hands), he wouldn't be lying like that. Since it's clear he's not going to go away, I think it's time for a block here on SWFanon. Is there any special procedure for creating a new Infobox Template? Is it as easy as clicking "Contribute"-->"Add a Page", or is there something more complicated? I have all the necessary code itself, I'm just not sure how to upload the template.

Clan Name QuestionEdit

While trying to think up of some last name's for my new Hutt character page, I ran across Desilijic Fortiure, I thought that the last name could be used as Protuga's last name, but then I saw that the user was banned. Am I still able to use "Fortiure" as my character's last name?

RE: Clone Template Edit

Brandon,

The Template:Clone infobox doesn't seem to be functional (doesn't display entered data), either in its original form or after my modifications. May be a problem with the source code; it's definitely greatly simplified from other template codes I've seen. Unless you'd rather do it yourself, I may play around with it and see if I can get it functional.

Image sourcing Edit

I wanted to add an image that was on Wookieepedia, but how do I source it? Do I copy and paste the image's link/address. Since the image's address is on another wiki wouldn't it show up as an image as the source, like literally and image instead of the web address? Can you help me?

I am back to inform you that I need to report Darkon, whom you may remember deleted the work I used to have here before I left, for stealing more of my work on his project, 'Dogs of War,' that I have since been kicked out of for reasons never disclosed to me. Darkon does not have my permission to use any likeness of me or my work on anything of his, and it has just been brought to my attention that his story has been uploaded here. Therefore, I must request that it be removed.

Unfortunately, Darkon was unwilling to do this himself when contacted about this matter, as he is quite a stubborn fellow. And since I no longer have access to his group, I cannot pinpoint exactly where in his story it is. But I am assuming a story that has stolen content in it is not allowed here, correct?

I would appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thank you.

On that main page, he 'credits' me for contributing to his story. When he kicked me from his project, he relinquished all rights to my content. Anyway, you remember Ty294? I still know him, and he was trying to convince Darkon to remove my parts from his story, but his response was that he would remove mentions from Dogs of War, but not Split Destiny.

I would attempt to dig through the story, but a talk page probably isn't the best place for that. Besides, the characters and factions of mine mentioned are under my name there. But is there a private message system here we could use?

Unfortunately, coming to a compromise with Darkon is impossible. I have tried this route many times and it has always resulted in him making threats of starting a war, or even hacking, which he has actually tried once. I have no choice but to pursue the matter further if I want full custody of my work back, which I do.

Also, it was written off-site at a place called ModDB.com. I no longer have access to his group, since I was kicked, and he set it to invite only when it first formed, when he was kicked out of the Dawnbreaker group for making threats toward other authors and attempting to make good on them.

You see, I don't really have a choice but to pursue the matter as far as I can. Darkon does not have the right to my things, and if I knew they were here sooner, I would have brought this up much sooner. I don't want Darkon stealing any more of my content... I came up with the name 'Dawnbreaker' for our original group. If I wanted to be hissy, I could pursue that, too. But I'm not.

So, what do I do from here?

Mass Deletion Edit

Hey Brandon, I was just wondering if there is some way we can do a mass deletion of Category:Articles for immediate deletion, seeing as with Gnosis' articles there are over 600 to delete. If we have to do it manually, that's fine and I will, but I'd rather check with you first, because I'd rather not waste time if there's a good way to mass delete them all.
