The Ultimate Star Wars Saga is a fan fiction continuity created by Adam "Grand Admiral" Harmon (and later Ano-User) to take an alternative approach to the series as seen by Adam "Grand Admiral" Harmon. It describes the history of the galaxy from 118 BBY to 25,000 ABY. One of the main focuses was the rise and fall of Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker, two Jedi of the Old Jedi Order. Main characters come from the families of Harmon and Skywalker. Major events described in the Saga are the Shadow Wars, Clone Wars, Galactic Civil War, War of the Resurrected Emperor, Second Yuzzhan'Vong War,War of Worlds and War of Imperial Rebirth. It was began during 2007.

Novels in the series include Rise to Imperial Glory. Series include the Harmon Chronicles, Shadow Wars, Sith Civil War Duologue, the Clone Wars and Jedi Warrior Trilogy. Planned books and series include, Heirs of an Empire, and Insurrection.

The Saga has received a positive reception on online communities such as the Dark Sith Lords community and the Eternal Empire (both being of the same group but the later being a more recent site for the Eternal Empire). It has even gotten to the point of influencing the official time-line of the Eternal empire.

Development[]

The Harmon Saga[]

The original conception for the Harmon Saga came in 2000, when Adam Harmon was talking to his dad about the Star Wars Universe. They discussed together on what they thought should have happened. This laid the original seeds for the The Harmon Saga.

After Revenge of the Sith, he felt Obi-Wan Kenobi's point of view that he had told Luke Skywalker in the Original Trilogy had been almost completely disregarded. Another was the almost seeming problem of the Prequels being in a more advanced state then that of the Original Trilogy. So, he set out to rectify this problem and began working on the first books of the Ultimate Star Wars Saga.

The Original Films spanned twelve episodes. However, due to their uncouth appearance (done as slideshows with captions) they are no longer considered canon to the Saga.

Canceled Projects[]

In 2001, Harmon was going to write Skywalker: Bounty Hunter. Despite working out the entire storyline in his head, which remained there, it never got on paper. Another canceled project was a second version of the Clone Wars Trilogy, meant to rework the entire war. One last canceled project was called Heritage of the Force.

The Books[]

There have been many books, series and one shots written set in the Harmon/Lucas Universe.

Skywalker Legacy Series

During early 2000, shortly after he was diagnosed with leukemia, Adam "Grand Admiral" Harmon took it upon himself to start writing fan-fiction. His first attempt was the Skywalker Legacy Series. To note of this series was the death of Han Solo by a crashing TIE Fighter. This wouldn't have been all that interesting, but it mirrored the death of Chewbacca in the novel Vector Prime, which was released only shortly before Harmon wrote his story, and had no idea that there was at that time an Expanded Universe.

Indeed, Harmon would be surprised to learn when he read the book how closely the two scenes mirrored each other, with the characters in both books being pinned down and unable to escape (Han Solo having his legs shot away by the TIE Fighter and Chewbacca having been crushed under rubble) and both shouting at their approaching doom, (Han Solo in last minute terror at the TIE Fighter and Chewbacca in last moment defiance at the approaching moon).

It is also the first of the B Canon stories.

The Jedi Warrior Trilogy

The second foray into Fanfiction was the Jedi Warrior Trilogy. It was written in late-2003, between the release of Episode 2 and Episode 3. The trilogy took a month to write, with some of it being during school and the some being at home.

The story idea followed this question: What would have happened 50 years after A New Hope?

Harmon had a better idea of what the Expanded Universe was, and mentioned several other stories in the story itself, trying to create what could have been canonically correct. However, the story conflicts with known canon on several points. One point is Jacen Solo. In established canon, Jacen Solo had not only fallen to the Dark Side but had also been killed by this point.

This trilogy is noteworthy because it established the basis for all rules for what applies as Canon for the Ultimate Star Wars Saga and what would become the motto of the series: The Truth From A Certain Point of View. It is also the first of the A Canon of the Saga.

The Clone Wars

Following the Jedi Warrior Trilogy and several one shots, the Clone Wars was written in early 2004. Harmon had watched the first and second volumes of Star Wars: Clone Wars, the cartoon series, and despite being unable to watch the third volume, decided to write what he felt would be appropriate for a continuation.

Basically, it picked up after Obi-Wan got the destress call from Master Bariss from Hypori. He and Anakin hurried to the planet and helped Ki-Adi-Mundi escape and the Clone Wars suddenly took a personal twist with a continual cat-and-mouse between Kenobi, Skywalker and Grevious. Many planets fell to Grevious, and planets that fell he would execute their leaders.

Kenobi was eventually captured by Assaj Ventress but escaped and killed her using the lasers from her own ship. Meanwhile, Anakin grew sick and one day while talking to a thousand Separatist prisoners ended up killing them all during a momentary blackout, then killed the guards to ensure no witnesses.

Anakin's trial also took place on a planet with people that were blobish and he had to destroy a crystal which the Separatists wanted. Meanwhile, as this was going on, Padme collapsed in Palpatine's office while they were alone talking and he discovered through the Force that she was pregnant.

The Trilogy ended with the arrival of the Separatist fleet over Coruscant but before they engaged the unsuspecting Republic fleet.

Though completed, this mostly was classified as B-Canon. The reason it was classified as such, was the fact that Harmon had decided it needed reworking (which never happened).

Rise to Imperial Glory

Written in mid-2003, shortly after completion of the Clone Wars trilogy, Rise to Imperial Glory was the first time Harmon wrote an entire novel. Covering 43 pages, it was a monster that wasn't surpassed in the Harmon-Lucas Universe until work on Heirs of an Empire was commenced. Harmon had read the children's seires: Star Wars, which included such stories as Prophets of the Dark Side, The Glove of Vader, Lost City of the Jedi and so forth. And while he liked the story, he felt it needed to be changed. So, he created his own version of the story, which also dealt a much needed revision to the Fall of Coruscant.

This story is A Canon.

Tales of the Sith

Written in late 2007 and finished in 2008, this began as a Role-Play on the Dark Sith Lords forum and was finished as a novel. This dealt with a Sith Empire and Darth Barad-Dur.

This series is B Canon.

Canonization Ratings[]

In the USWS, there are three current ratings.

A Canon: This is the highest a story can be rated. There are several rules for a story to be considered A Canon.

1. The Story must be completed and written. Even works in progress are not considered A Canon. This is due to the nature of the writing process and the fact that it is still in the writing stage and could be changed at any time.

2. The story must comply with the established canonical facts of the Saga. If the story does not comply with the official storyline and chronology of the story, it cannot be considered A Canon.

3. The story must be either written by Grand Admiral Harmon.

4. It must remain true to the Star Wars Movies. The official name of all works by Harmon are called: The Harmon/Lucas Universe and as long as the stories take into account the established movies, they are fine.

B Cannon: This is the second highest a story can be rated. There are several rules that a work will be judged by.

1. The story must be completed and written.

2. The story does not have to be typed. A Canon on the other hand has to be typed.

3. The story has to be set in the Star Wars universe but does not have to adhere fully to Harmon/Lucas Universe chronology or canon.

4. The story must either be written by Grand Admiral Harmon, fellow Fanon author Ano-user or any other fanon author who is working on the story along-side Harmon. This rule came into affect after Ano-users' War of Worlds was accepted into the Universe by his request. However, due to the fact that these two stories conflict on many points of canon, it cannot be fully accepted as Harmon/Lucas Universe.

C Canon: The is the lowest a work can be rated. The rules are much more lax for a story to be C Canon.

1. Any story that is cancelled is automatically considered C Canon. Because they were once going to be part of the Harmon/Lucas Universe but were cancelled, sometimes even during writing, they were not completed.

2. Stories that are being worked on. Even stories that will be A Canon are C Canon until they are finished due to the nature of writing and also the fact that they might fall by the wayside.

3. Stories that are written that do not adhere to the canon of the Harmon/Lucas Universe. If they were not written with the intent of being true to the universe established by Grand Admiral Harmon, they are C Canon. Most early works are considered C Canon.
