  • Hey Ataru, this is a friendly reminder that today is the last day to vote in the Wiki Awards!!

    • Thanks for the reminder. I've been very busy IRL, and the Wiki Awards haven't been a priority for me since the last time I hosted them. I apologize for missing out, though it seems I wasn't the only one. Cheers! Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 19:18, March 30, 2016 (UTC)

    • Don't worry about it. It wasn't fair of me to try to drag you into my sinking ship anyway. For that, I apologize. You're right; I, at least, would love nothing more than rounding up the old crew for one last round of shenanigans. Y'all meant a lot to me, and SWF isn't the same without you.

(On a side note, I'd love to know your initial thoughts about me/when, if ever, I hit your radar. But only if you're up for story time.)

Anyway, you're right about the Wiki Awards (as if you're ever wrong), and while I'd love to hear from you every once in a while, I won't go banging on your door.

    • Feel free to bang on my door! There's no harm in asking, and nostalgia and shenanigans are fun. It's nice to be remembered every once in awhile. And yes, I am wrong from time to time. :) Good to hear from you again.

As for my take on you, you're the last of the old guys, or the first of the new guys, depending on how you look at it. You remind me of some very good admins on Wookieepedia that were very good at building consensus in a non-threatening sort of way but not a firebrand like some of the earlier crew. A kinder, gentler, less forceful leader than Brandon, but also less assertive and less charismatic. Pros and cons to that, of course. In a way, you're the natural successor to the IRC Lulz Club. Less tied to the old ways and the old crew, but also aware of them and their history. You and I don't have as much history together, so I have less to judge you on. As the most active admin and someone who still has vision and active investment in this site, the relationships you form and the community that you build (or don't) will be your most enduring legacy over the next couple of years. I tend to mostly speak for the departed/inactive since their legacy is more-or-less decided and there is no one else to speak for them and preserve their history. The jury's still out on you, Savage. I hope you make the most of your time on SWF and have no regrets, whatever you decide to do. Atarumaster88 (Talk page) 21:37, March 30, 2016 (UTC)

    • Thanks Ataru, I appreciate the perspective. Don't be a stranger! You're always welcome around here, whether there's a silly contest to vote in or not. :)

    • I'll be around. I still have projects to finish--just a matter of finding the time and creative energy to do so!
