[edit] Description and history
Located on Vos Gesal Street, which had the highest crimerate on Coruscant, The Seventh Star was well-known in the Coruscant underworld (as well as those that had dealings with it) as a place to exchange information. It's owner, Narks traded well on this fact and the place was popular despite it's bad service and poor hygiene. The place got it's name from the circle of seven stars on a wall beside the bar, this was later used by Tira Sengel (who had once worked as a dancer there) to hide crucial information concerning Jali Dawler and Tollan Antilles.
Narks had ties to the criminal orginisation The Silver Ring and it was used by some of it's associates until 45 BBY, following this Narks fled the planet and it was bought by one of his waitresses, Miarka. Under Miarka the place was renovated and cleaned up, but still people came their to trade information.
[edit] The "call box"
The "call box" was crucial to the anonymity of the information trade that the Star offered. A patron wishing to purchase information would alert one of the waitresses, they would soon contact the patron later when the contact was in the "call box" and would speak to them.
Among others who used the "call box" were Tollan Antilles, Jali Dawler, Anakin Skywalker and (presumably) Balor Giderra.
[edit] Behind the Scenes
The Seventh Star developed over time while the stories The Chosen Apprentice and The Seventh Star were being written. It first appeared in The Chosen Apprentice as part of Anakin Skywalker's investigation on Stokra but was later re-written with the "call box" protocol in place once this had been established in The Seventh Star.
