Teeklak Sookanado, service number 5901-8960SM, was a Rodian male who served as an officer in the Republic Marines during the time of the Old Sith Wars. As of 3,971 BBY, he was a Captain and served as the commanding officer for the Marine training base located on Carida. That year, he personally recommended Laera Reyolé for entry into Officer Candidate School in light of her continuous record of excellence in training new recruits, in addition to her prior service history.

The character of Teeklak Sookanado was intended by Goodwood to be a shout-out to fellow Star Wars fan and friend Trak Nar.
