He gained the Solo after being adopted by Han and Leia, after his mother died. He got the Clan Fett part, from when his grandmother was adopted by Jango and passed his clan name to her and she to Nathan's grandfather, when she married him. It is published by TOR Science Fiction, written by Orson Scott Card. It's about a boy who has promise to defeat an invading alien race, but it's much more complex and compelling than most "Oh no aliens are coming never fear Blah-person is here aliens die hooray" stories. Uh, just wanted to ask whats happening to Nate, around oh i dunno...1200-1239 ABY. I skimmed the article (dang its big! ) and i'm not sure of the length of his "death" until the time of his awakening. During that time period he's still in his cryostasis unit. But he still "comes out" every now and then when he uses his ghosting power. I don't think he could actually come out of the cryostasis again, because the last time he did, he almost died. But I'm sure his "spirit" could come and offer Deji advice if he needs it. Sorry for saying this, but I do not like this article much at all whatsoever really in all history ever. The quotes sort of... suck, and Nathaniel seems like an idiot. I hate his relation to so many famous characters, too. Pfft! Jaina would never marry someone like that, either! How could someone live so long anyway?! No, no, I don't hate you at all for your comments. Rather, I encourage them. I'm always ready for something that could help it out. It conflicts with SW continuity a lot, but that can hardly be avoided when you make something of this magnitude. I prefer to think of this as something that could happen, not what did. Well, I'm no xenobiologist—then again, no one else is —but as this is Star Wars and I am in charge—forgive my fascist statements—then it's done this way. I'm taking a huge leap of faith by saying this is possible. In actuality, all I wanted was to prevent myself from making Nathan a shapeshifter, which would just add to his Mary Sueishness. I'm rather sure Clawdites don't change their form by altering their genes. It is likely that they use pigments and muscles, the way octupi, squids, and cuttlefish change their form. But if you really want to take the Mary Sue out of Your Mary Sue, perhaps you should call on McEwok (Wookieepedia and TFN user, who once suggested that Ben Skywalker is really the son of Anakin Solo). It's very hard to believe that even Kiffars and Zeltrons can breed with humans, much less Clawdites. It would take some form of advanced genetic medicine to make it remotely possible.

Solution: Daddy had a deadly mutation in his genes that would threaten offspring, and in order to prevent it from becoming a disaster in any potential sons or daughters, he would have to have had the Kaminoans he found after extracting that valuable information change his son's genetic structure to keep the mutation (recessive in him, though humans don't have any genes to counter it) at bay in the child.
