Tahiri Veila (CABE 'verse)

Tahiri Veila was born on Tatooine in 12 ABY. Her parents were killed when she was three years old, and she was raised for the next six years by the Tusken Raiders. Then she was discovered and sent to the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV.

Tahiri had many friends at the Academy, including Valin Horn and Anakin Solo. She and Anakin were especially close friends throughout their education at the Academy.

They were separated in 28 ABY, when Anakin was sent on a mission to Dantooine, along with three other Jedi Knights. Anakin never arrived at his destination and information from several sources (notably Leia Organa-Solo and Darth Inferna) strongly suggested that he was dead. Tahiri herself was hiding on Yavin VIII with other young trainees, as well as Jaina Solo and Zekk, when Luke Skywalker's message came to them, warning them of a Force-stripping plague and to let them know that the Solo brothers had died.

Tahiri was grief-stricken, but able to complete later mission objectives, such as chasing Jaina to Cyalax. She and Valin grew closer as the year went on, and eventually she finished grieving for Anakin and accepted Valin's friendship and, later, romance.

When Anakin was discovered to be alive in 29 ABY, she still had feelings for him, but they were not as strong as they once were, and he appeared to be uninterested, as well as having problems of his own - medical and psychological - resulting from torture and the shipwreck itself. They did remain friends.

Tahiri married Valin in 32 ABY; by this time, both of them had been Knighted. They had a son, Xander Horn, in the following year.
