T'iana Tosh was taken to the jedi temple at a young age, and was selected to be the padawan by the knewly knighted Human jedi knight, Tir. Before going on any missions they studied together lightsaber combat to ensure victory in case the time came they needed to ingage in "agressive negotiations". Tir himself was Proficient with his variant of form Form II which included many basic moves of Form IV , while T'iana decided to try her hand with form V, Djem so. while her connection with the force was average,her skill with a lightsaber was far superior than many padawans, and even a few jedi knights.

Before being selected as a padawan, T'iana was part of the Tchuukthai clan. She remained there 11 years before being selected by Tir. During her time in the clan she ranked in the middle of the class, and was often seen with the male Wookie, Cjovokka. Together they got into trouble at times, and sparred with each other when instructed too. Even after they were both selected as padawans they still maintain a high friendship, even though their masters often clash about ideas of training and of the force. It should be noted however, even though the masters don't get along, all the missions that this group of 4 goes on are all very successful and because of that are often paired together.

At the time that the Mandolorians invaded the jedi temple, Tir and T'iana were having a sparring lesson and felt a disturbance and decided to investigate,however little did they know that this was going to be the first real test together as master and padawan. As they entered the hallways the heard what seemed to be lightsaber duels and quickly ran to investigate. When they got to the front of the temple they saw hundreds of Mandolorians enter the doors and takedown many brave knights who were trying to stop them but where unsuccessful. They decided to then jump off the second level of the temple and help block the entrance. Not long after it was just Tir and T'iana guarding the front entrance. Many masters offered to help, but the council told them to safeguard other areas, because they felt these two could handle it on their own. Hours later the Mandolorians retreated and left the temple. However, in the retreat Tir managed to capture the leader of the Mandolorians, Gurgess Zeon. He was brought before the council and ordered to be in a federal prison on a dry barron world in the outer rim.

When the time came for their first mission T'iana was thrilled. They had to go undercover as spice miners and infiltrate a smuggling base and take down the leader. However things went wrong from the start. When they arrived on the spice world they were captured by pirates and taken to a underground prison for captives. since they were undercover they could not use there lightsabers to get out for fear of them being exposed, so they decided to make friends with other captives and start a revolt in hopes of being set free. There plan succeeded and a revolt had begun so the pirates were forced to let everyone out otherwise they would soon be eliminated. With the misson now back on they went to the smuggling base and for a month had to prove themselves worthy of being admitted in. They fooled the smugglers on what they said they had did all month. Once they were in it didn't take them long to find the leader, and then after return to the temple.

Over the next four years they would go on numerous successful missions and begin getting reputations as skilled and honored jedi. However when the Clone Wars started they began getting more difficult missions that weren't so easy accomplishing. Nine months into the war,Tir and T'iana, Cjvokka and his master Nune Vaulum were selected to be bodyguards to three senators as they were running for office on their planet. Normaly jedi don't get involved in politics, but these 3 were getting threats saying that if they do not drop out of the race they would be eliminated. The council sent 4 jedi to protect them because an evil jedi named Rauul also sent a message saying he would be the one eliminating the senators. As they left the temple they met with the senators and disscussed a security plan. Once boarded and under way toward Arogon, Cjvokka and T'iana were catching up while there masters were meditating preparing for the mission. Once on arogon the jedi were led to their accomodations in the buidling that housed the senators. Each night for two straight weeks each master and padawan would take turns staying up all night guarding the senators. Then one night when Nune and Cjvokka were up guarding an alarm rang from the senators room. Preparing for the worst all 4 jedi lightsaber in hand went down to the room and found that a jedi with a red lightsaber was holding a senator captive and forced him into his ship by the docking bay of the balcony in the room. Taking two speederbikes Nune and Tir went after the jedi, however little did they know that it was a ploy to send them all running and that was in fact Rauul's padawan. Rauul was secretly waiting in the room to capture the other two senators, but was set back when he saw T'iana and Cjvokka still there calming down the senators. Thinking he could deal with two padawans he lept forward to stab T'iana in the back but missed when she sensed him and she moved. Ready to engage in combat both padawans ran to engage him. Cjvokka was studying form I and thought he had a chance at knocking down Rauuls lightsaber he lept forward but was blocked by Rauul who seemed to have the upperhand most of the fight. After countless blocks and hits between all 3 lightsabers, Rauul jumped back and pushed Cjvokka to a wall which then cracked making Cjvokka fall 3 stories down to the ground. Sensing he was not yet dead T'iana engaged in Rauul, but was flawed and he threw her up to the ceiling. As he was waling towards the senators T'iana got up and forced the ceiling to come down on Rauul. Sensing he was still alive she grabbed the two senators and ran with them down the exit and went to go check on Cjvokka. He was ok, but felt he had failed in helping T'iana, but she re-assured him he helped her in the long run. They took the senators to the underground of Arogon and went to hide in a diner where they could contact their masters and the jedi council. Once inside the hid the senators in a room in the back, while cjvokka tried to make contact with the masters, T'iana made contact with the council. She told them of the situation and they responded by asking if they need another hand. She said no, but told them she will keep them posted. After waiting for the masters to return they finally got word were to meet the jedi. Once together and with the rescued senator they proceeded to the capitol building were the senators would stay with around the clock protection from the jedi and security guards. From that point on the mission went good with only a short comeback of Rauul, but he was defeated and fell into a lava pit where he was assumed dead. The senators went on to campaign and win the selected positions they wanted.

During the war, T'iana was studying to become a jedi consular and would often train with well regarded consular, Shaak Ti. After the misson of protecting the senators, Tir was assigned to go to the uninhabited planet of Binaros and check out unusual readings from the planets surface. With him gone, the council assigned shaak ti to go to Alderaan and over see a peace treaty between it and a neighboring planet. However before leaving she requested that T'iana come along with her for more training besides the temple. With no other place to go, T'iana agreed.
