Question[]

WHat is a grandfather clause--VideoGamePower (Talk) 03:27, July 8, 2011 (UTC)?

  • Grandfather clause is fairly simple: If a rule is installed, everyone must obey that rule. The grandfather clause allows someone to be an exception to the rule through time seniority—being around before the law was accepted. In this case, the grandfather clause would have allowed someone to keep policy-breaking material on their userpage if that content was in place before the law went into effect. Here is the wikipedia link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandfather_clause for greater explanation.-I'm the Chosen OneYou must see it... 04:31, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
    • And just to clarify what ITCO said, because there isn't a grandfather clause it means that this applies to all articles whether they were created before or after the adoption of this policy. - Brandon Rhea Alliance Starbird (talk) 05:47, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Question about a planned scene for a story[]

I read the policy on violence and there was a torture scene in a story I was thinking of writing for the Nexu and the Wolf beforehand involving a character almost, almost getting blood eagled by a dark-sider but rescued *just* before the actual act happens. Would such a scene be acceptable on here or would it have to be moved to another wiki? I just wanted to ask. I can redo the scene if necessary --LadyVader Peace is a lie 11:41, January 6, 2015 (UTC)
