Star Wars Fanon:Voting policy

The Star Wars wiki of fan invention.

The voting policy of the Star Wars Fanon Wiki was established to create proper and fair voting for the entire Star Wars Fanon community. Originally developed in January 2007,[1] the policy was later reformed to include a minimum of at least 250 mainspace edits and/or a month long membership on Star Wars Fanon in May of the same year.[2] The policy once again underwent changes in June 2007, making it mandatory that both 250 mainspace edits and a month long membership be acquired before voting, rather than one or the other. In August, 2008, the policy underwent its latest change, sufficiently lowering the requirements to vote to simply 100 mainspace edits.[3]

Like all other policies of the Star Wars Fanon Wiki, any member of the community may enforce the voting policy in the Senate Hall, consensus track, and in the good article nominations, as long as it is done so properly.

Voting rules

  1. A user must have a minimum of one hundred (100) mainspace edits
  2. A user must properly sign their votes, using four tildes (~~~~)
  3. A user must not use a sockpuppet to vote, under any circumstance
  4. A user must be logged into vote; anonymous (IP) votes will not be counted and are ineligible
  5. A user must be eligible to vote, meaning one has not had their voting rights revoked (banned from voting)
  6. A user cannot vote for or against themselves in nominations
