Star Wars Fanon:No joke articles policy

This policy in a nutshell:
Possible joke articles will be tagged with a deletion discussion and users will have one week to determine by majority consensus whether or not the article will be deleted.

The No joke articles policy is a policy that forbids joke articles from remaining on the Star Wars Fanon Wiki. This Wiki continues to maintain that it strives for a standard of quality and excellence in articles, and the No Joke Articles Policy is a continuation of that goal. There have been some attempts in the past to enact a policy that forbids joke articles, but most have failed. It is believed by some that the inherent problem in the proposals was the attempt to define what a joke article is. It is believed by many, however, that this is a point of view and, therefore, an acceptable policy based on defining jokes articles cannot be reached.

This policy is set up differently. In essence, it gives the users of this Wiki the right to decide whether or not an article is a joke and whether or not it should remain here. The idea behind this is that the majority of active community participants tend to hold the belief that this Wiki should be used for serious article writing and that jokes, parodies and other supposedly humorous articles should be taken to Darthipedia, the Star Wars Humor Wiki, although it is also important to note that articles that are perceived to be jokes and junk should not be directed to Darthipedia out of respect for Darthipedia and the members of it. In order to determine whether or not a supposed joke article should be deleted, there is a process that must be followed:

1. First, if any user or Administrator comes across an article they believe to be a joke article or an article lacking serious content, they will tag it with the {{Possiblejoke}} template and create a deletion discussion page for in the deletion page namespace.
2. Users will vote on whether or not the article should be deleted based on their opinion and the reasons the person who began the discussion gives. This discussion will last for one week and will be decided by the majority opinion.
3. The author of the article will have forty-eight (48) hours to fix the article. If they do not address the problems in the article within that time, the article will be deleted. Time extensions will be given if users are unable to be at their computers during that forty-eight hours due to vacations, family emergencies or other matters that do not allow them to be online.

If the majority of users decide that the article will be kept on Star Wars Fanon, the article will be tagged with the {{notjoke}} template. This will indicate that, although there may be some humorous content, it is not a joke article. However, if the majority instead decides to delete the article and the objections of the users are not addressed by the author, then an Administrator will delete the article and the author will be told in a personalized message on their talk page that Darthipedia is the place for non-serious content.
