Courage (dog) ( history - links - logs)[]
Delete (1)[]
- I submit this article should be deleted on the grounds that it is a wholesale transplant of a character (or rather, multiple characters and at least one object) from another, unrelated universe into the Star Wars universe. In other words, a crossover. The author doesn't even change the names of the transplanted characters. -- Gnostic (Talk) 22:39, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
Keep (3)[]
- I believe that this vote for deletion is based on a misunderstanding of the crossover policy. The crossover policy specifically states that characters from one universe or storyline literally need to be brought into another universe or storyline. An example of this would be Galen Marek in Soulcalibur or the crew of the Enterprise-D interacting with the X-Men (yes, that actually happened in a comic). The subject of this character is simply based off of another character from another medium. This is perfectly acceptable. Per the policy, "Crossovers do not include homages to other non-Star Wars characters by using a name or parts of personalities, and/or names of companies, ships, and other such things. Crossovers also do not include the use of pictures from other franchises. Pictures and homages are highly acceptable." This article has a dog named “Courage” and names based on (some have been changed) those from a television show. Could you argue that this is unoriginal? Sure, that argument could be made if you really wanted to spend the time doing so. Does that make it a crossover? Sorry, but no. There are no grounds for deletion here. - Brandon Rhea (talk) 02:00, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
- Per Rhea. It's not in violation. --User:Darth Wylind (Conference Room) 02:11, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
- Because as a fellow Rper, I understand how you often create characters or things that are from other series. Also per Brandon.--Josh BenderTalk 03:19, December 9, 2009 (UTC)
