A Sith Lord was a member of the various Sith organizations, such as the Third Sith Empire and the Order of the Sith Lords, that existed throughout galactic history. The term was used loosely to describe a number of Sith regardless of rank. One such example was Darth Plagueis, who was the Dark Lord of the Sith between 241 BBY and 41 BBY. Darth Maul was also a Sith Lord.^[1]
