Shirok was, despite its remote location, one of the largest cities on Mandalore. Located on the coastline of the planet's major ocean, it was roughly 2,500 miles in the northeast of Keldabe, the capital of Mandalore.
Founded as a small settlement a few decades after the end of the Mandalorian Wars, the city flourished over the millennia, and at its height—5 centuries before the Mandalorian Civil War—it had a population of over 300,000 people. Due to its isolation from planet's major populated areas, Shirok became a largely independent colony.
Shirok became especially known for its highly efficient police service, which was globally active, and its special operations branch, ShenCresh Ops.
