Saesee Tiin was an Iktotchi Jedi Master who served on the Jedi High Council during the invasion of Naboo in 19 BBY. He was one of the many council members arguing whether to investigate cloning activities on Kamino or not. The topic was put on hold when Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi informed the council that the Sith returned out of hiding. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon then asked permission from the council for them to train a farmboy from Utapau named Annikin Starkiller, who was believed to have a high count of Midi-Chlorians and to be The Chosen One. The council requested for Starkiller to be tested.
