The Rim World Alliance Rangers were a military force in the Rim World Alliance.
History[]
Formation of the Rangers[]
The Rangers were officially formed in 21 BBY after Obi-Wan Kenobi and around fifty Jedi Knights left the Jedi Order after several members of the Jedi Council tried to forcefully take Anakin and Padmé's daughter.
By this time Anakin himself had already brought a group of non-force users as well as a few former Padawans together to help put an end the slavery and injustice on Tatooine.
With the Jedi that followed Obi-Wan and his own forces Anakin realised that they would need to form their own organisation to keep things under control. To that end with Obi-Wan, Padmé's and Revan's help the Rangers were officially created.

The Rangers were originally designed to seek out injustice and stamp it out without having to deal with all the crap from the senate. At first there was only the Rangers but after the formation of the Rim World Alliance it became evident that the Rangers needed to expand.
The Rangers[]
Thus the Rangers were split into four sects. The core group, which were simply called Rangers that operated like a security or police force, however did have military usage as well.
Force Rangers[]
Then with the increase in the number of Force users to join them a new sect was created which were called Force Rangers. Force Rangers were just the same as the Rangers except for the fact that these Rangers were trained in the use of the Force.
Ranger Diplomatic Service[]
Next as more and more systems joined the Rim World Alliance a diplomatic division became needed. The Diplomatic service was designed to allow them to help with negotiations within the R.W.A as well as help interactions between the Republic and the Alliance.
The Diplomatic Service was split into two Sects. Firstly was the diplomatic division and secondly was the Investigative Service.
Ranger Intelligence Service[]
The Intelligence Service was just like any other Intelligence Service and was set up to investigate criminal activity throughout the Alliance.
The Intelligence Service was also responsible for internal investigations should a Ranger become corrupted.
