Rigelians were a very paranoid species native to the planet of Rigel III, somewhere in the Deep Core. Rigelians were always very paranoid of invasion, believing that not even their large fleet of Nova Cruiser's could stop an event. Rigelians lived on chains of islands close to the north and south poles. Rigelians from the south were very pale while the Rigelians from the north were usually tanned. While all Rigelians had pointed ears it was debated among biologists if the Rigelians were one species or two. Jedi and Sith traditions were a constant part of Rigelian history and their views on the two religions appeared to be neutral. Rigelians are unusually peaceful but this was not always the case. They supplied heavy weapons and powerful starships to the Old Republic from the Great Hyperspace War to the Mandalorian Wars and now regard their acts in those periods to be atrocious.
