The Pylulm River (sometimes the River Pylulm) was a major waterway flowing through Isalius, the capital of Pantora from (and to) the marshlands outside the city. Its source was in the mountains a few hundred kilometers away. In spring and autumun, ice floes often appeared in the Pylulm. It usually froze completely for weeks or months at a time during the winter; skating on the frozen Pylulm was a common family and date activity, and several competitive leagues had races from one end of Isalius to the other.
