Rise of the Empire era

Pots Putnyocus, also known as "CarbonEye", was a Human male assassin and later became an operative of the criminal organization SMERSH.

Biography[]

Early Life[]

As a young boy, Pots hated his parents. He left home at an early age and lived a life on the streets. He quickly made his way into the "underground" and trained to be an assassin-for-hire.

Being an Assassin[]

People started hiring him for assassination jobs and he was able to build up his reputation as well as his skills. He was doing a job on Ryloth at the same time MI5 was there putting a stop to The Baron's drug-trafficking. But Pots had nothing to do with The Baron, so he wasn't involved in that situation. But, through word-of-mouth, he soon learned about the MI5 organization.

Soon after Ryloth, Digika hired Pots to assassinate Queen Teresaa on Naboo along with some other top assassins, not knowing MI5 was involved. Before the Queen even arrived in Theed, Pots was captured and taken into custody by MI5 agents Joss Vendu and Ruana Trebond. Then, the two agents tortured him during his interrogation.

When the battle broke out in front of the Royal Palace, Pots was left locked in the cell alone...until another assassin Adder rescued him and escaped.

Digika had made contact again and that's when Pots found out that it was MI5 that tortured him. He vowed to make them pay for all the pain he suffered in the torture. Later, in the hidden "underground" of Theed, Vendu and some other agents came looking for him and Adder. During a daring speeder chase, Vendu captured Pots once again and, this time, locked him up in Vendu's ship.

Much later, Urma Boont came to the rescue and got Pots out of the ship. But when the ship's self-destruct mechanism went off, Pots ended up with shrapnel in the left side of his face. He survived, but was under medical care from SMERSH.

CarbonEye: Agent of SMERSH[]

Carbon-eye

Dr. Noah's synthetic carbon-eye.

Since Pots' left eye couldn't be saved, SMERSH had Dr. Noah construct a synthetic carbon-eye for Pots, which would give him extra powers that could be used against MI5. The flesh on the left side of his face around the carbon-eye was mangled and scarred due to the shrapnel from the explosion, but the rest of his face was still intact. After giving Pots the new name "CarbonEye", and having a small army of troops at his disposal, SMERSH sent him out on a mission.

Using his new powers, Pots was able to rob Jabba the Hutt of his fortune, steal plans for submersibles from Cotati's Blueprints on Alderaan and clean out an old Czerka warehouse on Dantooine. Pawning Jabba's treasures around the galaxy drew in a lot of credits. At that point, he was ready to construct his underwater fortress Octopus using the holo-blueprints that were stolen. He also armed his troops with the stolen weapons from the Czerka warehouse.

Among his army were Generals Laurel and Hardy as well as Perkins, a squad leader. He also hired Haley Qubey, Draco Gant and a group of Tusken Raiders calling themselves the Yargh. And SMERSH loaned out Xenia for Pots' forces also.

Death[]

Generals Laurel and Hardy reported that some MI5 agents, as well as Adder, were heading for Mytus VII, so Pots decided to meet them there.

While Adder and his friends fought MI5, Pots revealed himself to be CarbonEye and joined in the battle. But his synthetic eye was damaged, so he had no choice but to flee the fight. He headed back to his base on Manaan and had Dr. Noah repair his eye.

Even though Pots had all those baddies and troopers in his small SMERSH army, MI5 still managed to find his base in the waters of Manaan. Yet another battle ensued, resulting in another malfunction of his eye. He eventually fell at the hands of Joss Vendu. Vendu had plunged his lightsaber into Pots' chest.

Behind the Scenes[]

Pots was originally created as a throw-away "non-playable character" by TheForce.Net users Rilwen_Shadowflame and DARTH-bojangles. As the character became more involved in the story, Dubya Scott took him over, gave him a name, and made him a maniacal villain.

The character's synthetic carbon-eye and it's powers were based on the main playable characters "goldeneye" powers from the video game GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.
