Poe was a Torine female and second President of the Vario United Systems. She was a very passive person, and was best known for being the youngest Vario president in the government's history. Poe was rumored to be very concerned about the public's view of her, and often made decisions just to please the public.
In 43 ABY, she met with Senator Anas Vidon and his son, Colonel Next Vidon of the Vario United Military. During the meeting, she listened to Next's "confirmed" reports about a rebellion, but Anas quickly shut him down, leaving the false impression on Poe that all is well. In 46 ABY, after Poe's term ends, Vidon was elected as the new President, and subsequently discovered that Poe illegally ordered the construction of Vario Station 9, a space station built by the Vario Intelligence Agency in secret.[1][2]
