The Mantellian Authority was set up by Acestes Damon who became the first Supreme Commander. It was considered an Imperial Warlord faction during the Imperial Civil War.
History[]
Ord Mantell had been a generally lawless planet during the Galactic Civil War and was more commonly used by the black market. Acestes Damon, a Major in the Imperial Military, revisited his home planet after being released from New Republic capture soon after the Battle of Endor. Acestes was furious at both the New Republic and the defenceless state of Ord Mantell and as such spent his personal funds to buy military grade ships and hardware in order to defend Ord Mantell. Acestes accessed an ordnance vault on Ord Mantell providing him and other non-remnant loyal Stormtroopers with DC-17M blaster rifles and customised Stormtrooper armour.
Acestes named himself the Supreme Commander of the Mantellian Authority and set up the Mantellian Senate to deal with everyday mundane tasks. He acquired taxes from the residents of Ord Mantell and used them to buy a fleet of 4 Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, enough to attack and invade the nearby planet of Fornax. Acestes then went on to annex Vortex (A New Republic world) and Genassa. Acestes then got in contact with Cybe Drives and ordered the creation of several customised star destroyers which he named Syracuse-class Star Destroyer.
After taking Fornax, Vortex and Genassa, Acestes began a recruitment drive in order to increase the number of Stormtroopers he had. Though the numbers grew slowly the Mantellian Authority was able to establish itself as a valid threat to the New Republic, performing raids on Outer Rim worlds for supplies.

Mantellian Senate[]
The Mantellian Senate was a democratically chosen board of advisers and governors for the Mantellian Authority. The main role of the Senate was to over see the day-to-day tasks of the Authority and deal with the administration tasks and fulfilling the orders of the Supreme Commander.
Mantellian Infantry Corps[]
The Mantellian Infantry Corps was comprised of both males, females and aliens from across the Authorities Space. The infantry soldiers were not forced into service though during times of open conflict it was frowned upon for able men not to sign up. Geared with Mantellian Savrip Armour and DC-17M Blaster rifles, the Mantellian Infantry Corps proved to be stronger than their Stormtrooper counterparts during the Imperial Civil War. The only thing that many of the Corps soldiers lacked was adequate experience, though trained by Galactic Civil War veterans the soldiers rarely partook in many open conflicts.
