Mace Windu was a revered Jedi Master and member of the Jedi Council around the time of the Naboo Crisis. He initially resisted accepting the young Anakin Skywalker for training because of his age. Mace was also friends with Renust Nju, yet like most of the Jedi Order was unaware of his defection to the Sith. He fought in the Clone Wars on numerous campaigns and almost uncovered the idenity of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious until the Battle of Coruscant prevented it. During the Battle of the Jedi Temple he dueled the escaped Dooku, his former friend, but was killed by Nju who stabbed him in the back.
