Luke Skywalker is a force-sensitive human male. He was born on an asteroid called Polis Massa. His mother is Padmé Amidala, who died at childbirth, two days after Empire Day. She also gave birth to Luke's twin sister, Leia. The two children were separated. Leia was adopted by Bail Organa while Luke was sent to live with his uncle Owen and aunt Beru, under Obi-Wan's supervision, on Tatooine. After joining the Rebellion after his guardians died, he blew up the Death Star. The Empire then striked back at the Rebellion on Hoth and destroyed their Shield Generator. However, Luke took off to the Dagobah System where he met Jedi Master, Yoda. Yoda trained Luke the ways of the Force. After sensing his friends were in danger on Bespin, he took off to go rescue them. There, Luke confronted Darth Vader, his father. After being defeated in battle, Darth Vader offered Luke a choice; he could join him, finish his training using the Dark Side of the Force as his apprentice. Luke accepted and finished his training as a Sith Lord.
During the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Yoda set out on a journey to discover the secrets of immortality. His journey took him to Moraband, the ancient Sith homeworld, where he faced visions of the future. At the end of his journey, the Force Priestess, Serenity, who guided his journey told him that there was another Skywalker, and Yoda heard his voice from the future say so as well. These events alluded to the birth and destiny of Luke Skywalker, as well as his twin sister Leia.
Luke Skywalker was born in 19 BBY on the asteroid of Polis Massa two days after the proclamation of the Galactic Empire. He and his twin sister Leia, who was born shortly after him, were the children of Galactic Republic Senator Padmé Amidala, who died in labor, and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, who had recently fallen to the dark side of the Force. To protect the children from the Empire and Anakin, the now-Sith Lord Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi personally sent the infant Luke to live with Anakin's stepbrother Owen Lars and his wife Beru on the planet Tatooine, while Senator Bail Organa agreed to adopt Leia together with his wife, the queen of Alderaan.
Skywalker spent his youth on the Lars' moisture farm, where his uncle unsuccessfully tried to discourage his adventurous tendencies, telling him that his father had been "a navigator on a spice freighter" during the Clone Wars. His aunt, Beru, would read him storybooks; one day, when his uncle had business in Mos Eisley, she took Skywalker to Anchorhead to use the HoloNet connections there and show him images of forests, rivers, and oceans.
Taking on Jabba's Thugs Edit
At the age of eight, during the Great Drought in 11 BBY, henchmen for the crime lord Jabba the Hutt collected a "water tax" on their master's behalf. Despite the damage it caused moisture farmers, Skywalker naïvely stood up to the thugs at night, trying to take back the water they had stolen from the farmers. Kenobi, who sensed the danger his protégé was in, blew their vehicle's lights with the Force to hide his identity, and proceeded to disable all of Jabba's henchmen. One of them became startled and pushed Skywalker to the ground, causing him to hit his head and pass out. Once Kenobi handled the thugs, he carried Skywalker to the Lars' homestead where he was found asleep, unaware of his savior's identity, by his aunt in the morning.
Other Adventures Edit
Eventually, Skywalker became an adventure-seeking youth who demonstrated his father's natural piloting skills, as well as a strong desire to leave Tatooine. As more of Skywalker's friends left the planet to follow their dreams, he became increasingly frustrated that his uncle would not allow him to do the same, claiming that he still needed help with the farm. In truth, Owen was trying to prevent Skywalker from following in his father's footsteps.
When not helping his uncle, Skywalker would occasionally go bulls-eye Womp rats, or go racing through the dangerous Beggar's Canyon in his T-16 Skyhopper by the age of thirteen. He would also spend time at Tosche Station with his friends, such as Biggs Darklighter, Laze "Fixer" Loneozner, Camie Marstrap, Windy and Deak; some of them called him "Wormie". Anxious to leave Tatooine, Skywalker would even apply for the Imperial Academy to join Darklighter—who would stop by to see his friends at Anchorhead once, and tell Skywalker that he was planning to desert the Empire for the Alliance to Restore the Republic.
Leaving Tatooine Edit
In 0 BBY, the purchase of two droids—R2-D2 and C-3PO—by Skywalker's step-uncle changed the youth's life forever. With the discovery of a desperate message to Obi-Wan Kenobi contained within the astromech droid R2-D2, Skywalker soon found himself in the company of Kenobi after being attacked by Sand People. Kenobi soon revealed to Skywalker that he had once been a Jedi Knight who served in the Clone Wars with Skywalker's father. He went on to inform Skywalker that his father was not a cargo pilot, but a Jedi Knight struck down by Darth Vader, and gave him his father's lightsaber.
On their way to Anchorhead, Skywalker and Kenobi came upon a group of slaughtered Jawas—the same ones who sold the droids to his uncle. Skywalker deduced from learning that Imperial stormtroopers were responsible that they might have looked into the sales records of the droids, and rushed home in the hopes of saving his step-aunt and step-uncle. Upon returning home, Skywalker discovered that he was too late: his step-aunt and step-uncle had been murdered by the Empire. With the people who raised him dead, he decided to accompany Kenobi to Alderaan to deliver the astromech, who was carrying the plans for the Death Star, to Bail Organa at the behest of Organa's daughter, Princess Leia Organa.
On their way to Mos Eisley, Kenobi began training him and gave Skywalker his first lesson, during which he learned the basics of Jedi meditation. They would later reach Chalmun's Cantina, where Skywalker nearly had a fatal run-in with the criminals Ponda Baba and Dr. Evazan, and where they obtained passage off the planet and met Han Solo and his first mate Chewbacca. Kenobi brokered a deal to pay Solo two thousand credits up front plus fifteen more when they arrived on Alderaan, with Skywalker selling his speeder to pay for the two thousand up front.
Death Star Rescue Edit
After escaping stormtroopers on Solo's ship, the Millennium Falcon, Kenobi began Skywalker's instruction in the ways of the Force, much to the derision of Solo. The lesson, however, was soon interrupted by their arrival in the Alderaan system and their discovery of the planet's destruction. They then spotted a patrolling TIE/LN starfighter and, upon following it, found that it was approaching what appeared to be a small moon, which turned out to be the Death Star. Caught by the Death Star's tractor beam, they were brought aboard the massive space station.
Once on board, Luke and Han knocked two stormtroopers out and stole their armor, whereas Kenobi set out to deactivate the tractor beam. However, when R2-D2 discovered that Leia Organa was being held captive on the station, Skywalker insisted on rescuing her. With Solo and Chewbacca's help, the trio made it into the detention area escorting the Wookie as a prisoner. They were able to rescue Organa, but had to jump into the garbage compactor in order to escape the pursuing Imperial forces. Though Skywalker and Organa were separated from Solo and Chewbacca, they were able to reunite with their companions, and the droids, in the hangar bay.
Joining the Rebellion Edit
Eventually, the group escaped the Death Star, but only after Kenobi sacrificed himself in a duel with Darth Vader. Angry and confused, Organa offered some comfort for his grief. They traveled to the hidden rebel base on Yavin 4, under the suspicion that the Death Star was tracking them.
Yavin 4 Edit
On their arrival, they met with Commander Willard, and Organa introduce him to Skywalker so that he could join the Rebel Alliance as a pilot. Skywalker then separated and met Wedge Antilles, who oversaw his flight simulation test. Lasting no more than 30 seconds, the more experienced pilot advised Skywalker to listen to his explanations, and encouraged him not to give up. In his second try, Skywalker used what he had learned from Antilles, and managed to surpass the highest score, that of Antilles's, prompting Willard to accept him without objection. He joined Red Groupwith the designation of Red Five.
After the briefing for their plan of attack against the incoming Death Star, Skywalker prepared himself for the attack, when he saw Solo loading his payment onto the Falcon for rescuing Organa and prepared to leave the group. Skywalker attempted to persuade him to stay and help them against the Empire, but Solo refused, deeply disappointing him. After bidding farewell to Organa as well, Skywalker was about to board his T-65B X-wing starfighter, when he encountered his old friend Biggs Darklighter, the two about to be flying as wingmen in the upcoming battle. In a brief conversation, Darklighter promised Luke that the two would catch up on each other's stories when they got back.
During the Battle of Yavin, Skywalker witnessed the death of many compatriots, including Darklighter. After the death of the two squadron leaders, he took it upon himself to lead the final assault. With the timely arrival of the Millennium Falcon and the guidance of Kenobi's spirit, Skywalker took a single shot and used the Force to direct his proton torpedoes to their target, destroying the station. For this action, he, Chewbacca, and Han Solo were awarded the medal of Bravery for their bravery the morning after.
Three years after the Death Star's destruction, Skywalker was transferred to Echo Base alongside Rogue Squadron to Hoth, where he participated in regular patrols of the frozen perimeter. Once while reconnoitering the surroundings of Echo Base, Skywalker was attacked by a wampa, only to regain consciousness in its cave. He severed its arm with his lightsaber, and escaped; after a long walk in the icy wind, he collapsed from exhaustion. Near death, he had a vision of Kenobi, who told him to seek the teachings of Yoda in the Dagobah system.
Rescued by Solo, Skywalker recovered from his wounds in a bacta tank. However, Vader had located Echo Base with one of his probe droids and prepared an imminent attack on the recently-opened Alliance base, thus prompting the Alliance to evacuate the base at once. After bidding farewell to his friends, for the impending battle, Skywalker led the Rogue Squadron in a airspeeder. Though he was shot down, and his gunner Dak Ralter was killed, he got out of his damaged speeder and single-handedly destroyed a walker with his lightsaber. As Imperial forces breached the Rebels' defenses, the last Rebel transport departed, and Skywalker fled the planet aboard his X-wing with R2-D2.
Skywalker then traveled to Dagobah, where he encountered the former Grand Master of the fallen Jedi Order, Yoda. In their initial meeting, Skywalker was frustrated and impatient and was rather short-tempered with the diminutive Yoda, who did not initially identify himself and purposefully tested Skywalker's patience, telling him a story about three brothers. However, Skywalker gained a new appreciation for the small creature upon learning his identity, and Yoda agreed to train Skywalker only at the insistence of Kenobi's spirit. Skywalker's training proved to be difficult, as his adventurous past had shaped his mind toward action and emotional instinct.
When Yoda asked him to enter a cave in which he was supposed to find only what he took with him, he was challenged by a vision of himself wearing Vader's armor. Master and apprentice then had an encounter with a raging elephoth, which Skywalker managed to calm by leading her to her child. Shortly after, he had a vision of Han Solo and Leia Organa suffering at Cloud City on Bespin. Despite Yoda and Kenobi's warnings and disapproval, Skywalker rashly departed from Dagobah to rescue them but not before making a promise to return to Dagobah to complete his training.
Duel on Bespin Edit
Upon his arrival at Cloud City's East Platform, Skywalker felt Vader's presence, and went into the nearest building, where he was shot at by Boba Fett, and tried to pursue a group of stormtroopers and Imperial officers who held Organa, Chewbacca and C-3PO captive. The princess attempted to warn Skywalker that he was walking into a trap, but his path was diverted to the carbon-freezing chamber where Darth Vader awaited him, with the intention to freeze him incarbonite to present him to the Emperor.
Skywalker engaged the Dark Lord in a fierce duel. After severing Skywalker's hand from his body, Vader attempted to seduce the weakened Jedi to the dark side of the Force, offering Skywalker the chance to destroy the Emperor and "bring order to the galaxy." In his efforts to sway Skywalker from his defiant refusals, Vader then revealed his identity as Skywalker's father.
Luke became horrified and shocked to hear this, yet he came to accept the truth. Vader stated that he was winning, then Luke gave up and released his grasp on his lightsaber as it tumbled down the chasm into the depths of Cloud City. Luke had met his match at the hands of Vader and he would know it, slowly turning and kneeling at the front of Dark Lord. Vader then put his hand out to Luke and told him he had made the right and wise choice, and that they would rule the Galaxy as father and son, destroying the Emperor together.
The Secret Apprentice Edit
This time, Luke informed Vader of Yoda’s location in the training he had undergone in his hands. Vader was pleased and explained to Luke that he would need to remain hidden as to not have the Emperor learn of his survival to ensure Vader could train Luke on his own with the Dark Side of the Force in secrecy.
Vader then went to contact the Emperor and lie about the fate of Luke, telling him that he refused to turn and was struck down by Vader. He also told the Emperor that in Luke’s final moments, he revealed the location of the last Jedi as he struggled for life. The Emperor would be overwhelmingly pleased and order Vader to go after the last of the Jedi.
The Search For Yoda Edit
Eventually, Luke and Vader would descend on the planet of Dagobah in search for Yoda and Vader would sense a strange presence of the planet being drawn to the cave where Luke experienced his own vision during his training under Yoda. Vader would pause for a brief moment before entering the cave in search of Yoda and knowledge but would step in and embrace the darkness.
Vader would suddenly see himself being engulfed in flames as the vines and stones around him transformed into the very lava that scarred him long ago but Vader would stand firm. Vader would not be overwhelmed by the strength of the Melissa energy in the cave; he would bask in its glory.
This would be the moment where Vader would experience the potential of the Dark Side as the lava around him faded into the glory of him sitting on the throne with his son by his side. The Dark Lord would then exit the cave and proclaim to Luke that it would be time to begin his training and that he had found the perfect location in which for him to learn.
Training With Vader Edit
Some time would pass and Vader would eventually deem Luke ready to fight the Emperor, as he had trained for a long while in the presence of such pure fear and darkness. Even while Vader was gone in forcing the will of the Emperor the young Luke had trained and now the very essence of the Dark Side of the Force would exude off of his very presence.
Now the once-promising Jedi pupil was unrecognizable. Angry and full of rage for the Emperor and his former friends beginning to tap into and feel the real strength and the power he wielded. Luke was ready and together, father and son, would depart for the Emperor.
Assassinating The Emperor Edit
The pair would travel across the Galaxy with Vader having previously setting up a meeting between the two on the Second Death Star. The Emperor would be in his throne room on the Second Death Star, looking off into space, pondering the state of the Galaxy he ruled when the blast doors behind him would open and in would step Darth Vader.
The Emperor smiled and turned around, telling Vader how impressed he was with his accomplishments with destroying the unwilling boy in viewing the Emperor with newfound faith in his apprentice. But suddenly, the Emperor’s joy faded as something would be off. Instead of kneeling at the feet of the Emperor, Vader stood tall and even through the mask of Vader; the Emperor felt his piercing eyes moving over him. The Emperor asked if there was an issue that needed to be brought to his attention.
Suddenly and violently, the blast doors behind the two tore off the walls and in stood Luke, cloaked in darkness. Without even looking at Luke, Vader activated his lightsaber and slowly approached the Emperor with his weapon at the ready.
Luke would join him at his side, now activating his very own red lightsaber. The Emperor’s face would then be granted with the yellow teeth grin ear to ear, as he would make the short but powerful statement, as is the way of the Sith. The Emperor would then lunge forward and a swirl of lightning would engulf his body, firing from his fingertips. Vader was blasted to a wall, while Luke caught before impact and as Vader got back on his feet, Luke striked at the Emperor with everything he had learnt. The three battled fiercely.
The three Sith Lords, now exhausted, launched their final attacks with Palpatine evading Luke’s strikes yet again but blasting Vader and his helmet with a huge tour of lightning. Vader fell back staggered but suddenly the lightning would stop and the Emperor would stare at his former apprentice in absolute shock. Extending out of Palpatine’s heart would be a lightsaber with a frustrated Luke responsible for the killing strike.
Ripping the lightsaber out of Palpatine’s chest, the Emperor smiled and fell to the ground with a huge flash of blue energy.
Return Of The Jedi Edit
At this point, Vader was greatly injured that the father and son reveled in victory, suddenly a light tapping would begin echo throughout the chamber. The two Sith Lords would be puzzled momentarily until out of the shadows emerged Master Yoda. Luke turned to face him and Vader would struggle to remain on his feet due to severe injuries but ultimately turned to face him as well. Luke asked in a dark voice if Yoda wanted to die too but Yoda responded that he had not, except he said he had come back to bring back the Jedi.
Then out of the shadows would step a figure completely covered in a white robe. Both, Luke and Vader would be stunned as Yoda would look to the floor and proclaim that there was another. The figure dropped the robe to reveal a Jedi Knight, Leia, who pulled out a lightsaber and ignite it, revealing a blue blade.
Leia then proclaimed proudly that she was a Jedi like her father before her.
Luke become enraged and strike out but he was met with Leia’s blade matching his strength. Vader activated his lightsaber and attempted to strike Leia down but was hit backwards by a Force Push by Yoda.
A now even more injured and hyperventilating Vader would stand and reach out with the Force to Yoda using all he had left to crush the Jedi Master. Yoda would attempt to block the power of the darkness within Vader but his frail body could not hold up and he would be thrown into one of the few remaining pillars. Vader would then topple to the floor exhausted.
Meanwhile across the room, Luke and Leia would be exchanging blows, analyzing the fighting style of one another. Luke would be the superior duelist as he had had more experience but he would also be exhausted from his previous fight with the Emperor, allowing Leia to keep pace. Leia would be quick and her blows would be strong but each time by some miracle her strikes would be met with a lightsaber of Luke’s. Leia would spin and swing hard; Luke’s blade would meet hers’ yet again, however. But this time, he would be met with the heavy punch in his lower jaw. Tasting blood in his mouth, Luke began to laugh, saying he was impressed with the strength of his sister.
The Rebellion Strikes Edit
Suddenly, the entire room would begin to shake as Rebel Starfighters emerged from space and can be seen flying around and fighting Imperial Forces, revealing a huge large-scale attack on the Second Death Star. Leia would now assume a stance and raise her lightsaber in front of her face, telling her brother he had fought so hard but fallen so far and that the Rebels were going to destroy the base and him along with it. She would also tell him that it was not too late and that he could come with her.
Luke would look out at the Starfighters outside the blast windows, catching a glimpse of the Millennium Falcon. Luke’s head would bow to the ground and Leia would approach him. Luke would then slowly raise his head, revealing not the emotion of regret and sadness but rage and betrayal. Luke would spin around fast as lightning, cutting Leia across the leg and holding her in the air with the Force. He screamed at her calling her, his old friends and the Rebellion traitors as his once blue eyes changed to piercing yellow eyes.
In the tips of Luke’s fingers would then shoot torrents of lightning, shocking his sister, torturing her. The room would then shake again and for a moment Luke would lose his grasp on Leia. Leia would then take this moment to break free and retreat, scooping up Yoda in her arms and activating the elevator, escaping off the Second Death Star with her stolen ship.
Luke would stand in the throne room of the Emperor in shock, looking at the body of Palpatine then his father injured and breathing heavily on the floor. Luke would approach his now injured father and tell him his time was over and that it was time for a new Sith to rise, and with a Sith as old as him were obsolete.
Luke would then turn and walk away from his father as Vader would reach out with his hand in the last gesture and whisper, “Son.”
Rise of the New Empire Edit
Across the Galaxy, an armor-clad Luke would enter into a conference room of one of the Empire’s few remaining Super Stardestroyers with all the high ranking members of the Empire.
Luke entered slowly, stating that the Empire was his now and his alone. Luke told them the power he wielded was far greater than they could even comprehend and even though the Second Death Star was destroyed, the Rebellion was in its final days.
Instantly, all the occupants of the room were lifted into the air by their throats with the Force as Luke wandered to the blast window and stared into space. Behind him, one by one, the high ranking officers fell to the floor lifeless. He then smiled and reached out to Leia through the Force, telling her that even though the Jedi may have returned, a new version of Sith has risen as well.
With Luke as the new Supreme Leader under the title "Lord Skywalker" of the New Empire, it became more powerful in military and the Stormtroopers became more skilled. There were still those who resisted Luke's Empire but all those who opposed Luke were crushed. Luke not only began breeding skilled Stormtroopers, he trained a new generation of Sith.
Luke had many leaders who followed him in pure loyalty. One being Gerissen. Then, while Luke was training his Sith army, only three Inquisitors were chosen to serve Luke by his side. Raymond Polon, who became Darth Inferos and the leader of the Inquisitors, Jacub Sorru, who became Darth Vespillo, and Dona Libidine, who became Darth Gothi.
