We can all agree that we cannot leave our Empire in the hands of the buffoons like Pestage and Isard on Imperial Center. While they bicker, the Rebels are growing stronger and taking more territories. We must take matters into our own hands if the Empire is to survive.
—Moff Petro Verkoris

The League of Moffs was a ruling body formed for the remnants of the Galactic Empire by Moff Petro Verkoris (who later declared himself "High Moff") after the Battle of Endor. With the splintering of the Empire among various warlords following the death of Emperor Palpatine, several Mid Rim sector Moffs banded together to form their own loyalist faction. The League included five Moffs, including High Moff Verkoris, and had control over five sectors. The headquarters of the League was on Ryndellia, the capital of the Ryndellian sector, which was the High Moff's original sector. The League of Moffs had a large military force under its command, which was put together originally from their sector fleets, and bolstered with the influx of recruits after the collapse of Imperial central authority in 11 ABY.

History[]

Military[]

The League of Moffs built up quite a large military force during its existence. The backbone of it was the Ryndellian Sector Fleet. The Moffs each contributed something to the joint military force, and Moff Adamek gave an Executor-class Star Dreadnought, the Compellor. It served as the High Moff's personal flagship. The fleet also included Imperial-class Star Destroyers, Victory-class Star Destroyers, Immobilizer 418 cruisers, Dreadnought-class heavy cruisers, Carrack-class light cruisers, Nebulon-B2 frigates, escort carriers, and CR92 Assassin-class corvettes. These were supplemented by the 408th Imperial Fighter Wing, which flew TIE/ln starfighters, TIE/In interceptors, and TIE/sa bombers. The fleet also fielded a few experimental TIE/ph phantoms, which were stored aboard the Compellor.

For ground forces, the League had several garrisons of Imperial Army troops spread across different worlds in their sectors. The Army possessed many vehicles, included All Terrain Armored Transports, All Terrain Scout Transports, and All Terrain Personal Transports. Their main stormtrooper unit was the 650th Legion, which functioned as an elite shock unit.

Behind the scenes[]

The League of Moffs is based on the canon faction Central Committee of Grand Moffs. The author wanted to create an Imperial warlord faction, and read a "League of Moffs" being mentioned on another article. He decided to use the name and created this faction. It is also somewhat based on the Imperial Ruling Council.
