Behind the scenes[]

Dark Matter went through many different concepts before the final one was selected. Initially, Dark Matter would've been titled Cade Slarwalker and followed the character through his life before, during, and after the events of the novella. Another concept had the story split into two parts, one titled Antimatter Squadron and the other Operation Supernova. The final result was the latter two concepts merged into one.
