Hell hath no fury like a female scorned, yes? Even her name sounds like the word in Basic, "Kill" - She is vicious and powerful, and one of the main strengths of this team. But, also, she has seen the cruel flaws of the Galaxy firsthand. No doubt she will be invaluable to my cause.
Mr. Serpentine's recorded file on Kyll Sysstra, specifically why he chose her for Squad A.

Kyll Sysstra was a Nautolan bounty hunter who became renowned for her cruel, ruthless techniques, which she picked up from a life of slavery. She had a brief partnership with Illian Nam, then ended up in the employ of Mr. Serpentine.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kyll was found on Glee Anselm by a group of Trandoshan slavers, who had attacked her area. After a gruesome battle, the men of her village were killed, and the women and children were taken into slavery. For two years, Kyll was traded on the black market between crime lords and gangsters, and put into strict, manual labour until she was sold to a hutt at the age of eight, and remained that way until she was fourteen. At that age, she witnessed the death of one of the hutt's clients when he arrived at the spaceport. No one else had been in the room when the man suddenly clutched his chest and died of a heart attack. Acting on impulse, Kyll took the blaster from his holster, hid it in her robes, waited until a window of opportunity opened, and burned a hole in between her captor's eyes. The hutt died almost instantly, and in the ensuing panic about his servants and clients, it was easy for Kyll to escape. No one even realized who had done the deed until she had escaped, hiding in the spice compartments of a smuggler's ship. The smuggler eventually found her, asleep, malnourished, fatigued, and cradling the large blaster in her arms. Feeling sympathetic, the smuggler took her inside his apartment building, gave her food and a blanket. His name was Arlo Marketh, and he was a Quarren. Kyll assisted him in his jobs for many years to come, and the two developed a close kinship. She dreamed of returning to Glee Anselm, but insisted on repaying her debt to the smuggler who saved her first. In truth, she feared ever returning to her home, for she had long ago associated it with the invading gangsters and slavers. She did not wish to face the burnt remains of her village, the already forgotten graves of her once close family and friends. However, Marketh soon revealed that he was suffering from a potentially fatal illness. Kyll insisted upon taking both of their savings and appealing to the medical facilities on Coruscant, where a cure was available. After all of what she had experienced, Kyll knew about the horrors of the underworld, but retained faith in the just system of the Core Worlds. There she found that the life bordering the parameters of the law, that Marketh and so many others were forced to adopt in order to survive, was not a life on the priority list in the Core Worlds. Arlo Marketh did not have meet the requirements to be treated legally. He died, half a year later, and Kyll's illusions of security in the Galaxy were destroyed - From her point of view, she could only see the flaws and injustices in the Galaxy.. She eventually turned to a life of crime, at around the age of twenty. She was known for her ruthless methods, acrobatic martial arts and simple, minimalistic equipment. Although she has told some familiar acquaintances that she once was a slave, she rigidly refused to ever divulge even the slightest details about her life during that time.

Equipment[]

Kyll Sysstra carried very little equipment with her, preferring to do things the simpler way. She used two short vibro-swords, dual KYD-21 Blaster Pistols, for their elegant and subtle usability, a scanner and analytical computer, grappling hook and the ship she inherited from Marketh - A BTL-S8 K-Wing Non-assault Starfighter, a smuggler's alternative to the K-Wing starfighters of the rebellion.
