Kori Dannus was an Ithorian Jedi who betrayed his master and turned to the dark side of the Force.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Kori was born on Ithor and was discovered to be Force-sensitive. He was taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant and placed in the Krakana Clan. During a training mission on a planet, the ship they were in was shot down over Dimock. The younglings managed to reach an escape pod and jettisoned onto Dimock. They were rescued by the Jedi trio of Tadra Kren, his Padawan Molkir Tyd and Yulo Gart. However as they were escorting the younglings to a spaceport, Order 66 was initiated and the clone troopers turned on the Jedi. The Jedi managed to hijack an RTT and escaped into the wilderness. Tadra realized that they could not run from the clones forever and ordered Molkir to escape and take the younglings with him. Eventually they managed to reach a spaceport and hired a smuggler to get them off-world.

Life in exile[]

They reached Artus Prime and set up a shelter in a cave. Molkir agreed to teach the younglings all he knew about The Force. Over the next fifteen years he taught the padawans all he knew. However, Kori, Arikki T'Cha, Aran Gunnar and Kallus Eikh'mir were slightly neglected because of the large number of the padawans. Tori and Kallus began growing bitter and began training on their own. Kori grew to hate Molkir for not teaching him. Eventually he approached Kallus and asked him to help him kill him. Kallus however, believed in honoring the life-debt he believed he owed Molkir and turned on Kori. Kori managed to defeat Kallus, but didn't kill him. He approached the other members of Krakana Clan and Molkir and announced his plans. Outraged, they attacked Molkir, but one by one they were all defeated by him. However, before he could attack Molkir, Vasaga Nomaki appeared and countered Kori's blow. The two dueled but it was clear that Vasaga had the upper hand. Seeing that he would not be unable to win without unleashing all his power, Kori unleashed a Force Bellow. Much to his horror, Vasaga managed to shield himself from the bellow. Vasaga saw that Kori had been weakened by the attack and prepared to kill him. Before he could, Molkir told him to stop, saying that Vasaga and Kori had been friends once. Vasaga agreed to spare Kori, but told him to leave Artus Prime.

Dark Jedi[]

Kori found a spaceport and killed the owner of a class 720 freighter. He eventually replaced his old artusian lightsaber crystal with a new orange lightsaber crystal. He worked as a mercenary for a brief period of time, before working for the Black Sun. He took part in the Siege of Cloud and killed a large number of Bespin Wing Guards. However, he and another Black Sun soldier were eventually forced back onto a platform that overlooked a large shaft. Kori prepared to unleash a Force Bellow, but before he could do so he was thrown to the ground by an explosion and lost his lightsaber. Elegos Annak, the Black Sun soldier Kori was with, had attempted to use a thermal detonator to kill the guards, but it was set off early. As Kori was getting up, the Bespin Wing Guard surrounded him.

Escape[]

Kori was thrown into a cell with several other captured Black Sun members. Kori used a Force Bellow to destroy the door and charged out. He used The Force to strangle one guard while simultaneously using Deadly Sight to force the other guard to his knees. Two of his cellmates took the fallen guards weapons. They stormed out, with Kori using his Force Powers to kill anyone who got in his way. He found his ship and used it to escape from Bespin while his cell mates found their own ways to escape. He then spent several months wondering space.

New ship[]

Eventually, Kori accidentally stumbled upon the Imperial research station of Obsidian. He managed to dodge the hail of blaster fire and dock with the Obsidian. He killed the Stormtroopers who got in his way. Kori stumbled upon a hangar full of experimental TIE fighters. Kori expressed disgust with all of them, until he stumbled across the TIE Experimental M6, the only experimental TIE designed to hold a pilot. Impressed by the ship, Kori stole it and managed to escape from the station.

Apprentices[]

While travelling The Galaxy, Kori eventually met an exceptionally bright Force Sensitive young man named Davis Sectundo. Kori warped Davis until he became as twisted and full of hatred as Kori was. Kori trained Davis to act as his apprentice. Kori was harsh and unforgiving when Davis failed his tests, and used Deadly Sight to punish him. Eventually, after Davis' training was complete, Kori announced that they would attempt to assassinate the Hutt crime lord Zordo Nokko Neeras and take control of his criminal empire. They discovered Zordo's secret fortress on Kintan and managed to gain access through stealth. However, after Davis managed to slice his way into a locked room, he was mauled to death by an akk dog. Kori barley managed to escape. Frustrated that his apprentice had been killed, he sought another. Eventually, he arrived on Vinsoth, where he sensed a Force Sensitive being. He discovered that it was a Chev known as Kolga Tyaw, who was the slave of a Chevin. Kori killed Kolga's master and took him on as his new apprentice. However, he was disappointed to discover that Kolga was not as powerful in The Force as Davis was, and Kolga was also prone to panic under pressure. For this, Kori vowed to dispose of Kolga the minute he found a more suitable apprentice. He traveled the Galaxy with Kolga, searching for an apprentice, though he did not tell Kolga this. Eventually however, the two ran into a Force Sensitive X-Wing pilot. Wanting to hone his skills, Kori fired on the X-Wing. However, the pilot was more skilled than Kori realized and the three of them were soon embroiled in a vicious dogfight. Soon however, the X-Wing pilot got the upper hand and managed to critically damage Kolga and Kori's ships. He spared them however and left them. The two were forced to crash land on Devaron. Shortly after landing however, Kolga was swarmed by hundreds of Devaronian fur-spiders, who consumed Kolga while he was still alive. Kori managed to survive a painful death by unleashing a Force Yell that sent the spiders flying.
