Kel Algwinn was a male Human student at the Sith Academy on Korriban until he joins the Jedi Order as a Jedi Padawan during the Jedi Civil War.
Biography[]
Although Algwinn considered himself weak, in actuality he was not as corrupted by the dark side as the other Sith hopefuls. This caused him to have doubts about his place at the academy. When the Jedi and former Sith Lord Revan infiltrated the academy in his search for the Star Map on the planet, he attempted to persuade Algwinn to become a Jedi. Algwinn was conflicted by the different viewpoints presented to him, but Revan successfully persuades him to do so, at which point he departs from the academy and travels to Dantooine. There, he is seen in the in the training room of the Jedi Enclave, where Kel is now dressed as a Jedi Padawan. He would eventually perish during the destruction of Dantooine.
Centuries later, Kel appeared as a spirit along with the deceased to assist in helping Mamit Gall in defeating the Sith Emperor and turning him to the light side.
Behind the scenes[]
Although canonically, if the player fails to persuade Kel to leave the academy to become a Jedi, he will be killed when the residents of the academy attacked Revan in the Skirmish on Korriban.
If the player is a dark-side character, after discovering Kel's doubts Revan can either tell Uthar Wynn or Yuthura Ban about them—after which Kel disappears from the academy—or taunt him into fighting and kill him.
