Katha Sagara (full name Katha Mireia Nashira Sagara) was a Human female born at Lynsor, Balmorra in 12 BBY. Katha was the younger daughter of Quinn and Brisia Sagara, and the younger sister of Corinna Sylmani.

Katha Sagara was born in 12 BBY on Balmorra to Quinn and Brisia Sagara. Katha had one sister, Corinna, who was older by five years.

Katha was created as a character for a gaming group. The fanfic Betrayal from the Past was intended to be an introductory short story for Katha but turned into a full length story.
The name Katha Sagara was originally picked somewhat randomly from an encyclopedia mythology index (kathasaritsagara a Hindu collection of stories). Ironically the namesake (meaning The ocean of the streams of stories) was very appropriate for Katha, who was the Grand Mistress Librarian for the gaming group at one point.
