Kacj Abru was a Human male captain in the Republic Navy in the days of the Mandalorian and Jedi Civil Wars. He was best known for his grizzled-officer personality, tactical skills, and for his loyalty to the Republic.[1]
Abru was assigned as the commanding officer of the RS Niare, a prototype warship, in 3,956 BBY. He commanded the Niare for several months, and led multiple missions using the ship, including the destruction of the Vendetta, a Sith warship. He led another mission, alongside Jedi Master Kavar, later that same year.[1]
During what would become the Niare's last mission, Abru, along with the entire crew of the ship, disappeared. Abru was subsequently listed as "Missing In Action". The Niare would later be discovered by Vin Yiana, however all crew, with the exception of Prosli, were still missing.[1]
