Jirachi Kna was a powerful Jedi and member of the new Jedi Council.

BiographyEdit

Early lifeEdit

Jirachi was an only child, born in 26 BBY to a family of fishermen on Mon Calamari. His mother died when he was just four years old and his father abandoned him on a dock shortly afterward because of his selfishness. Thankfully, for Jirachi, Jedi Master Plo Koon had discovered him due to sensing his midi-chlorian level. He took the young boy to Coruscant.

Training and Clone WarsEdit

After being shown to the Jedi council, Jirachi was put into rigorous training by Jedi master Yoda. During his days in the Jedi temple he made very few friends, he preferred to distance himself from the other younglings. A few years of training later, he was made the Padawan of Di Groota, an Arachnoid Jedi master. Di could sense that Jirachi was destined for great things and visions later confirmed this. These visions showed Jirachi becoming a very powerful Jedi knight, but he could also sense uncertainty and fear in his Padawan and thus put him into very difficult training to help him come over his fears. Jirachi deeply admired Di, and aspired to become like him one day. He had always wanted to join his master on the battlefield of the Clone Wars and fight along side him and thousands of clone troopers against the CIS's battle droids. Due to his young age however, he did not fight in the clone wars for fear of his safety, although Di did admire Jirachi's courage. Jirachi also had a respect for the loyal clone troopers that fought with his master, this respect, however, soon became hatred.

Great Jedi PurgeEdit

During the great Jedi purge Di Groota was stationed at Dimock, trying to prevent the Dimocks from joining the CIS when Chancellor Palpatine initiated order 66. Sensing something was wrong Di tried to discover the problem but was ambushed by his clones. Di managed to kill twenty-seven clones before he was killed by the second-in-command, Reton. Back at Coruscant Jirachi sensed a disturbance in the Force. Looking for another Jedi to ask if anything bad had happened he saw Anakin Skywalker commanding the 501st Legion up to the Temple. He was about to go up to him when he saw the gate master, Jurokk struck down by Anakin himself. Knowing then and there that he had to escape he managed to sneak his way into the hangar bay by going through the air ducts. Once inside he killed all the clones he saw and managed to escape in a Jedi interceptor. Knowing that his master was on Dimock he flew there trying to seek him out to help him. When he landed there however he saw the camp where Di was stationed in ruined and his master with blaster wounds in his chest. Trying not to cry he got back in his interceptor and tried to find any Jedi that had survived. He was discovered by Bail Antilles and brought aboard the Tantive IV. Yoda and Obi-Wan were shocked that such a young boy could have survived and managed to find them. However he was in a state of shock about his master death and could not tell them who attacked the temple. After Obi-Wan tracked down Anakin (now known as Darth Vader) to Mustafar, he agreed to train the boy on Tatooine. He spent many years there training under Obi-Wan’s rule. One fateful day however he was separated from him in a Tusken Raider attack and somehow managed to find his way to Mos Espa. That is when his career as a bounty hunter began.

Career as a bounty hunterEdit

As he walked into the city he noticed someone running from a man in armor, firing at the man but often missing and even hitting random citizens. Enraged, Jirachi used the Force to pick fleeing man up and threw him against a wall. The man in the arm our (who by now Jirachi had realized was a bounty hunter) was impressed, and decided to split the bounty on the man with Jirachi due to his part in stopping him. The man was wanted by Jabba the Hutt for stealing a small quantity of his money and Jabba had issued a massive bounty on his head that amounted to 60,000 credits. With his 30,000 credits, Jirachi bought, two T-6 Thunderer heavy blaster pistols, one ARC trooper blaster rifle, one E-60R missile launcher and phase II clone trooper armor (It did actually cost much more, but Jirachi used the Force to " persuade" the dealer to give it to him for much less).

Jirachi's first job was, again, for Jabba the Hutt, this time he had to kill a Jawa named Izzrakel for angering the Hutt. After borrowing a speeder bike, Jirachi quickly tracked the rogue Jawa down. Unfortunately for him, the Jawa was badly dehydrated and Jirachi took pity on him and knew he couldn't kill him. To make matters worse another bounty hunter had arrived to take Izzrakel in, but Jirachi intervened, and used his lightasber to separate his legs from his torso. After ripping off a bit of Izzrakel's cloak and dipping it in a bit of the bounty hunter's blood, Jirach took it back to Jabba, who rewarded him, handsomely. Jirachi hated the Hutt, with a passion but one thing kept him coming back: a woman. She was one of Jabba's slaves and Jirachi was disgusted on how the Hutt treated his slaves but could not do much anyway, there were too many guards.

Shortly after, however, a greater Krayt dragon attacked Jabba's fortress and although Jirachi and numerous guards managed to drive the beast away, Jirachi's only love and many other guards went missing in the attack and were presumed dead. Jirachi was deeply saddened by this and the money from constant bounties did not help him. Jirachi decided to leave Tatooine for a while and find bigger bounties and inner peace. However, he had a run in with the Empire, who had heard of his bounty hunting skills and had decided to hire him to hunt down the Millennium Falcon. While Jirachi was unsuccessful in the attempt, he did manage to capture a spy in the midst of the imperials. Instead of money, however, all he asked for was a V-wing and an astromech droid because his interceptor had been badly damaged and he didn't have an astromech of his own. The Empire complied and gave him an R4 unit named R4-D11.

Hoping to never see the Empire he had hated so much he returned to Tatooine to work for Jabba once more. He was surprised to learn that his target was a retired clone trooper by the named of Reton but was oblivious to the fact that he had killed his master and went to hunt him down. After stopping to buy thermal detonators, he arrived at Reton's new home, Mos Espa. After blowing the door to his house down and startling Reton he noticed his master’s lightasber adorning on a wall. It was then he realized just who had killed his master and flew into a blinding rage and began attacking Reton in blind fury. Reton, however, managed to grab Di Groota's former lightsaber and had proficient knowledge on how to use it. However, Reton's skills were no match for a Jedi and Jirachi managed to cut Reton's bionic arm off, pull the lightaber from Reton and using the Force to hold him in place blew him and his house up with a thermal detonator, his remains were fed to the Sarlacc.

Realizing what he had done, Jirachi then vowed to never kill another for revenge or in anger again. Jirachi decided to do one last job for Jabba and would then retire to seek out surviving Jedi. His final mission was to find a Jedi camped out in the middle of the desert and bring him to Jabba; the Jedi was none other than Luke Skywalker. After tracking down Luke he let off a warning shot at the tent Luke was in. Instantly alert Luke activated his lightsaber and tried to reason with Jirachi to no avail. Quickly getting the upper hand Jirachi offered Luke the chance to surrender until Luke told him he had been trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda. Shocked, Jirachi got on his knees and apologized and offered Luke help fighting Jabba and told Luke that he was a Jedi himself.

Luke agreed to let Jirachi help and Jirachi let Luke "escape". Jabba was furious that Luke had got away and used his massive fist to hit Jirachi, and giving him another reason to hate the repulsive Hutt. When Luke showed up Jirachi was glad until he fell into the Rancor pit. Knowing he had to do something he used the Force to push in a Gamorrean guard named Jubnuk as well to distract the Rancor knowing how much it hated Gamorreans. The distraction worked and Luke managed to escape, and kill the Rancor in the process. However he was horrified to learn that they were to be thrown in into the great pit of Carkoon, where the Sarlacc resided. However when he saw R2-D2 throw Luke his lightsaber and activate it he realized he had to keep the guards occupied and stop them from opening fire. He started firing at them with both blasters and using the Force to hold others back. After the successful operation (and subsequent rejoicing at Jabba's death) he left Tatooine to join the rebels.

Battle of EndorEdit

During the battle of Endor Jirachi was one of many people who was piloting a space craft (V-wing in his case) and trying to destroy the death star. He was one of the fighters to distract the TIE fighters while Lando Calrissian and a handful of pilots entered the central core of the second death star. During the battle Jirachi was reported to have destroyed 44 ships while suffering minimal damage himself. However when the death star did explode a TIE fighter managed to blow out one of his engines, drastically slowing him down and he almost lost his life from the resulting explosion from the death star. It was only using the power of the Force to move himself forward that saved him. Later he celebrated with many other rebels on the forest moon of Endor believing the Empire had finally been defeated.

Member of the new orderEdit

After the battle when the New Republic and New Jedi order were created Luke offered Jirachi a seat on the council and Jirachi happily accepted. During battles Jirachi often rode an Ubese thorn-back war dragon, to honor the master he had lost long ago. He soon became one of the greatest Jedi masters of all time, just like his master had predicted so long ago. Amazingly he did find Jabba's former slave on Tatooine and the two fell in love and married each other and even had a daughter together. Her name was Jane Kna and was amazed by her father's stories of his days of a bounty hunter. Against her father's wishes she wanted to become bounty a hunter until her over eagerness crashed a starfighter in a hangar bay. Like Jirachi she went on to become a great Jedi.
