The Jedi Archives was a fathomless collection of ancient knowledge and research dating back thousands of standard years. Overseen by the Council of First Knowledge, the Archives served as a repository for journals and artifacts. Located in the First Knowledge quarter of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the Archives was open at all hours and were accessible to all Jedi in need of information. While Jedi were welcome to scan or copy most any data in the stacks, removal of any material from the Archives was strictly prohibited. Remote access to the databases was near impossible, with eradicators built into the Temple's outer walls and firewalls in the database mainframes.

The Archives was staffed with Jedi Masters, led by the Chief Librarian. The Chief Librarian had nearly unlimited power when it came to approving or denying requests to see information in the archives. They had the ability to see the entire archive collection, a power that only the Jedi Council shares. They can deny anyone access, with the exception of the senior Council members and the Grandmaster of the Order. Droids were abundant within the Archives and served a dual purpose as archive security and assistants to all Jedi in need of information.

Busts and a memorial wall were located in the archives and were dedicated to all Jedi that had died in service of the Order or had left the Jedi Order for any reason. The last thirty Jedi to resign from the Order were immortalized with a head bust.

Behind the scenes[]

The Jedi Archives was created as a near carbon copy of the canon archives in location, look, purpose and size. The Jedi Archives (ESW) was created by I'm the Chosen One. The Lost Twenty was an influence on the section about the memorial wall and busts.
