Jayfon was a human male Senate Commando captain in the Galactic Republic's Senate Guard during the Clone Wars, then later a member of the Imperial Senate Guard under the Galactic Empire. Not liking the Empire's atrocities, he defected to the Alliance to Restore the Republic shortly before the Senate Guard was disbanded by Palpatine with the dissolution of the Imperial Senate. Serving in the Alliance Elite Guard as a captain, Jayfon later was appointed by the New Republic as an officer of the New Republic Senate Guard. For ceremonial purposes, he was able to wear his Senate Commando armor during his time in the Elite Guard and New Senate Guard, as well as later in Galactic Alliance Security.
