"Ulor is teaching me everything about the Jedi. I heard stories of the terrible powers the Jedi possessed; about their deadly weapons, and it scared me. But now...now I am becoming my own nightmare."
—Jana Centura, in his personal journal.
"Without training, Jana would almost assuredly turn to the dark side. And if that happened, I'm not sure the combined might of the Jedi could defeat him."
—Jedi Council Member Plo Koon

Jana Centura was born to Kastral and Zala Centura on Coronet. His family was killed or captured by slavers but left him to die. Ulor Draeys, a Grey Jedi, rescued him and trained him. When Draeys was killed by a former apprentice, Jana took it upon himself hunt him down. When he finally found the former apprentice Kos Brenn, he realized he wasn't powerful enough to defeat him, so joined the Jedi to complete his training under Zayin Roln. He was a major part of ending Ralvi'si Crisis.

[edit] Childhood

"He's different..."
—Kastral Centura, commenting on his son, Jana Centura
Jana in typical Jedi sparring armor.
Jana was born to a family of Corellian mechanics. His father -- Kastral Centura -- was the chief mechanic at the Corellian Government Hall's hanger and earned good enough wages to live in the middle-class neighborhood, along with Jana's mother, Zala, and his brother Xav. Even though they lived in the middle-class area, many people looked down upon them because they were mechanics. Though his father was a mechanic, his love was for flying, and taught Jana all he knew through sims and the family's old T-17 Skyhopper. By the time Jana was six, he could take apart and reassemble a starfighter engine and out pilot his dad. On his ninth birthday, on a short vacation to Coronet, their rented freighter was ambushed by pirates. Jana watched as Kastral died defending his family and Xav and Zala were taken, but for whatever reason, perhaps that he was younger, Jana was left aboard the dying ship. Jana had given himself up for lost when a single freighter responded to the distress call. The pilot rescued him and brought him aboard his own ship.

[edit] Training

"I can make you strong strong enough to save your family from slavery. I can teach you."
—Ulor Draeys to Jana Centura

The man that rescued him revealed himself to be a Grey Jedi named Ulor Draeys. He saw great potential in the boy and decided to train him, telling him he get make him strong enough to rescue his mother and brother. Jana consented, and for the next three years trained as Ulor’s apprentice. He excelled in his studies and Ulor was very impressed by his ability. He didn’t lose his love for piloting and continued practicing in more up-scale sims than the ones he and his dad practiced on, provided by Ulor. On his twelfth birthday, Ulor took Jana to Ilum to craft his lightsaber. Jana successfully completed his trial, but when he arrived back outside the cave, his master was dead, killed by a lightsaber. After seeing there was nothing he could do for his master, he removed his master’s lightsaber and credchip, gave him a makeshift burial under the snow to prevent wild animals to eat the dead body and returned to his ship. He wanted revenge, but had no clues on who killed Ulor, much less where he was. He was alone in life now. Pondering his fate, he realized that with some luck the sensor logs might have recorded if a ship left the planet. The ship had been recorded and came up as Kos Brenn, one of Ulor’s former apprentices, turned dark. Jana has only one purpose in life: He begins his search for Brenn.

[edit] The Search for Kos Brenn

"Kos Brenn, you killed my master. Die."
—Jana Centura
Jana Centura, during his hunt for Kos Brenn.
Using his late master’s ship, the Chaotic Flame, Jana begins his hunt. He discovers ships that match Kos’s on Onderon, Thyferra, and Coronet. Searching the latter two, he finds nothing, but on Onderon discovers that Kos’s ship is still on the planet. He tracks Kos down to a cantina, where he confronts him. Jana forces Kos to draw his lightsaber after Jana draws his own and deflects an initial attack of force lightning. Jana was talented, but stood no match to the fully-trained Dark Jedi. He falls back from the ferocity of Kos’s attacks. Jedi Knight Zayin Roln, on a mission to Onderon, is drawn to the commotion and joins the fray because he can sense the dark side strongly in Kos. Kos is outmatched by Zayin and as a distraction brings down the weak roof of the cantina to distract Zayin long enough to escape. Zayin cannot let the bystanders and Jana just die, and holds the roof up with the force so everyone to get to safety. Kos escapes and leaves, disappearing into space. Zayin can't let Jana, who is still only thirteen and a strong Jedi but lacking much of the willpower to resist the dark side, on his own in the world. Zayin tries to convince him to return to the Jedi Temple with him, where the Council will decide what will happen to him. Jana, though not overjoyed with the choice in front of him, realizes it is the best move. He is to weak to beat Kos even if he found him again, and needs more training. He accepts the invitation and leaves to Coruscant in the Chaotic Flame.

[edit] Jedi Training

[edit] Meeting the Council

Jana and Zayin arrive at the Temple and are immediately summoned by the Council, because Zayin had contacted them in flight. Zayin gives a report on the Dark Jedi Kos first. Typically, the council would test Jana's force sensitivity, but in this case there was no need to. Every council member could feel the Force radiating from Jana. Master Yoda decides that Jana must be trained so he won't fall to the dark side, and Zayin offers to train him. Yoda consents, and Jana's apprenticeship is bestowed upon Zayin.

[edit] Apprenticeship

Jana is first treated as an outcast by the Padawans his age, but soon becomes friendly with some of them that have the same interests as him. His closest friend becomes Arran Fable, a talented flyer like him. The Jedi allowed Jana to keep the Chaotic Flame, and it soon becomes the source of entertainment for him and his friends. He allows them to add upgrades and play with its technical systems, testing theories they had thought of. The Chaotic Flame had to be repaired a few times, but mostly it just got better. Jana and Zayin shared a bond of close friendship as they got to know each other. Zayin was a good, if inexperienced teacher and Jana grew more talented each day. He was also allowed to keep his own lightsaber and his Master's, which was a source of jealousy because very few of the Padawans had actually made theirs yet. But the jealousy extended beyond just the students; Masters marveled at the Jedi protégé.

[edit] The First Mission

"Jana, your losing, just like last time. But this time things are different; one, you don't have some Jedi Knight to come to your aid. Two, I'm going to kill you."
"Actually, I do."
"Why, hello Kos.
"
—Jana Centura, Kos Breen, and Zayin Roln

Zayin and Jana were assigned their first mission to Sluis Van to reassure homecoming Senators in light of the recent terrorist attacks. Zayin and Jana escort the Republic Cruiser in the Chaotic Flame. For the next week, they take turns guarding the sleep-chambers on the top floor with security droids guarding the entrances. Nothing happens until the night before the Senator's return. Jana feels his danger sense warning him about something and charges into the main apartment, activating his lightsaber and warning both his master and security before breaking through the door. Kos Brenn is in the room. Jana pauses in shock for a split second, allowing Kos to step forwards and kill the two main husband and wife Senators. Jana attacked viciously, but still he was not quite at Kos's level. Jana is slowly pressed back until Zayin arrives after having to deal with some assassin droids. Kos knows he can't beat them both and flees. Jana and Zayin escort the remaining Senators back to Coruscant the next day. The Council reassures them they did as well as they could and decide Kos Brenn is to big of a threat to keep alive. They send a different team to watch the election of the new Senators and assign Jana and two other Jedi teams to hunt down Kos Breen and eliminate him.

[edit] The Search for Kos Brenn

"If Kos Brenn is still in the galaxy, we'll find him."
—Arran Fable to his friends, Jana Centura and Darra Thais

[edit] Clues

Jana and Zayin depart aboard the Chaotic Flame with the two other Jedi teams. The first is Jana’s friend, Arran Fable, and his master, Ose Cicil. The second team is made of Darra Thaïs, and apprentice slightly younger than Jana and Ferus, and her master, Amra Gapste. The first place the Jedi Teams search for information is on Sluis Van. The remnants of the assassin droids reveal they are a rare class produced by Umbriel Arms Corporation. The Jedi investigate further, and the only recent purchase of as many droids at the attack was by a 'Ben Carn'. Assuming that this is an alias of Kos Brenn, the Jedi use the Jedi Library to search for any clues on Ben Carn. They find that the only information on him is that he lives on Thyu, and planet in the Mid Rim, and supposedly works for a local food processing company.

[edit] Ben Carn

The Jedi teams investigate into Ben Carn. Jana, Darra, Amra, and Zayin proceed to Thyu, while Arran and Ose began to search deeper into Ben Carn. The Thyu team find Ben Carn's house abandoned, but a computer database in place. Jana hacks it, and though most files are coded, finds evidence that Ben Carn is Kos Brenn. Jana next starts downloading files to his datapad so he can send them to the Temple, but halfway through accidentally triggers a security device, which wipes the rest of the database. Jana narrowly prevents his datapad from being wiped to. The information Jana did download he sends to the Jedi Temple to be decoded. While waiting for any leads from the Jedi Temple of Arran and Ose, Zayin, Amra and their padawans stakeout the house in hopes Kos might arrive. Meanwhile, Arran and Ose rummage through Galactic records, hoping to find anything on Ben Carn. Ferus notices a transaction between the Bak'lo Mining and a man named Ben Carn. Searching deeper, his master and him find it was a house that was sold, and that Bak'lo Mining is a front for pirating operations. It was safe to assume that Kos had sold his safehouse to pirates and relocated. The Thyu team meet with Arran and Ose on the Chaotic Flame.

[edit] Irra Prime

"Kos Brenn. I should have recognized the your poorly trained troops."
—Jana Centura

At the Temple, some of the Jedi codebreakers finally find some information of value. The planet Irra Prime is mentioned, and so the Chaotic Flame and its Jedi cargo head there. Irra Prime had a single colony on the planet while the rest of the world was covered in thick vegetation and water. Jana sets the Chaotic Flame down about a days march from the coordinates indicated by the Temple slicers. The six Jedi trudge the long miles and camp nearby the spot so they are well-rested. After a few hours of sleep, the Jedi teams ready themselves for a battle before going the last mile. They find a large open clearing and a high-tech factory and pirate base. Obviously, Kos has allied with or created a group of pirates. Almost immediately, the Jedi are spotted by seeker droids and the main base system activate. All around the base, guard droids activate and attack the intruders. Jana and Zayin fight their way straight to the main base while Darra and Amra keep droids off their backs and Ose and Arran head to the power generator, hoping to take it out and shut down the droids. Jana reaches out and finds Kos Brenn in the force, a black vortex of dark-side energy. Trusting his senses, Jana navigates the maze of passageways and arrive in a hanger bay. Kos is waiting, lightsaber held ready. Jana drives in immediately, leaving Zayin to join in seconds later. But Kos is different...he is stronger than the last time they met. Much stronger. He shoved Zayin across the room with a violent force push and drives Jana back with a flurry of strikes. In desperation, Jana crouches and brings his lightsaber diagonal, rolling forwards at the same time. It was a dangerous move, and Kos side-steps and slices through Jana's hand and lightsaber. But he hesitates, gloating over his victory, too long. Zayin, drawing on his rage, flings Kos across the room and follows with a leap. His lightsaber moves in a web of parries and strikes, and he nearly cuts off Kos's whole arm. But his rage cost him; in his haste to finish Kos, he over extends, and Zayin feels the plasma blade roll across his shoulder. Kos brings down his blade, but Zayin is pulled out of the way by Ose Cicil. He and Arran had just arrived, and attack as a team. Darra and Amra appear from another doorway, charging into the fray. Kos sends waves of force lightning at the Jedi, covering his retreat to a small starfigher at the edge of the hanger. Kos flees the recent battlefield unscathed.

[edit] Return to Coruscant

"Kos Brenn is becoming a threat to the Republic. We will make him our top priority."
—Mace Windu

Zayin and Jana are stabilized in the Chaotic Flame's small medbay while Arran pilots the ship back to Coruscant. The two day trip was filled with grim silence. Jana's confidence had fallen to zero; he had failed his first two missions and got his hand cut off. When they finally reached Coruscant, Jana was set to receive a prosthetic hand and Zayin snythflesh for his shoulder. The next day the whole team was summoned by the Council. The Council was wise enough to see that to remove the Jedi from the hunt of Brenn would just further demoralize them. Instead, the Council assured them they would be notified if any lead was discover. The was Council was even more alarmed when they told how much stronger Kos had gotten. Jana thought back and realized that he had felt almost to separate presences through the force, he just hadn't realized it. The Council deducted that Kos must have somehow found a Sith artifact that is strengthening him. They say that Kos Brenn is getting too dangerous and will double their efforts.

[edit] Jedi Apprentice

"I can find Kos Brenn. And I can kill him. Don't start saying, "Its not the Jedi way". Kos Brenn is a threat to the Republic! I am not going to kill him out of cold blood, spite or anger. I am going to help save innocent lives that Kos would kill. I am trying to help, not go dark. I've heard the lectures, Master Yoda, I've seen the warnings, Master Windu, I've heard about the dangers, Master Mundi, and I've seen the results, Master Koon. I know what will happen. And I also know it won't happen to me. Regardless, I will kill Kos Brenn."
—Jana Centura, addressing the Jedi Council

[edit] Nightmares

The first night back at the temple, Jana had a nightmare. At first, it was whimpers of pain in blackness, but over the days, it grew worse. Screams of despair echoed, and occasionally the blackness parted to reveal mangled bodied and blood-soaked floors. Because of this, Jana got less and less sleep, and grew haggard from exhaustion. His master inquired if everything was alright, but Jana said he was just getting to bed to late from lightsaber practice, and managed to change the subject. But soon, Jana dreaded the night, avoiding sleep if he could. He discovered if he drew away from the force some, the dreams would lessen in intensity. But all this was hard on his training, and Jana slowly started to slip from high above everyone else to an average student's level. Finally, Zayin confronted him and demanded to know what was going on. Jana revealed his nightmares to Zayin and his master promised to ask some of the Jedi Masters. He also gave advice, saying that Jana should try to pull the light side of the force into him, not reject it, and it might help. That night, Jana tried the advice, and slept well for much of the night. In the middle of the night, though, he received the worst vision yet. The screams of pain doubled, and the darkness vanished, revealing his mother, Zala, dying. A blaster shot rang out, and in slow motion, Jana watched as the blaster bolt struck his mother's dying form. He could feel her die through the force. After that, he faintly remember himself running through the halls, force-pushing a groundskeeper out of the way. When he came to his senses, he was aboard the Chaotic Flame and still wasn't himself. In his mind, his mother and the blaster shot hitting her repeated again and again. His anger boiled over, and he let the force guide him. His memories faded again, and he faintly remembered striking down pirates with his lightsaber, only to find his mother's body wasn't even there anymore; it had been disposed of. Memories of firing proton torpedoes into the pirate base, explosions and death. And then his hold on his mind slipped, and he fell into icy blackness.

[edit] Recovery

Blinding white lights of the medroom was the first thing Jana remembered when he woke up. At first, Jana couldn't remember what he was doing here, but then it hit him. Zayin, sleeping in a chair nearby, woke immediately, obviously feeling the disbelief and outrage pouring from Jana. Zayin remained quiet, knowing just to stay with Jana would be best. About ten minutes later, Jana was over his shock enough to stumble out of the Temple medroom to his own room. The next day, he and the rest of the team was summoned. The first thing they did was inform Jana that the nightmares were magnified from reality and sent across the force to Jana by none other than Kos Brenn. Jana seemed to break from his shell-shock with Kos now in the story. Jana declared that he could find Kos through the force, and the Council sent the team on another hunt for Brenn. The one difference was that Mace Windu would accompany them.

[edit] The Ravla'si Crisis

"Unidentified alien forces have been reported attacked around the A'Shar regions. The Department of Republic Space Defense has suggested that all traveling and sightseeing should be postponed until further information is found."
—HoloNet News Update 1442.442

[edit] First Contact

Jana during the Ralvi'si Crisis.
The Chaotic Flame was slightly cramped from the seven Jedi occupants, but with the help of force healing trances instead of sleeping, it was managed. Jana guided the Flame with help from the force, and a few days after departing, exited hyperspace. There was no doubt that Kos wasn't there; a nauseating presence of the dark side swamped the force. As the Chaotic Flame approached, Jana felt his danger sense grow. Assuming it was Kos, he kept going, but as he approached atmosphere, a bizarre fleet of attack ships burst out. A few huge asteroids disappeared, revealing fleets of ships inside. Jana blasted out as fast as he could.

[edit] The Battle of Thram

When the Flame arrived at Coruscant a hours later, reports were streaming in of alien ships encounters and attacks. The Senate was in a uproar, while the Supreme Chancellor scrabbled the main fleet. The fleet was joined by Corellian and Bothan forces and proceeded to the last known siting of the alien fleet. Mace Windu returned to the temple, but the Flame and its Jedi occupants were given permission to go with the fleet. The Chaotic Flame accompanied the combined 8th and 9th fleets of the Republic to the Thram system, which was the last known position of the alien fleet. The fleet was still orbiting, and Admiral Reru, commander of the task force, opened up a communication channel. The aliens, calling themselves the Ralvi’si, explained that they were not against the Republic, but a shaman recently had appeared with great power and ordered them to attack the Republic. The Ralvi’si proceeded to drop communications and attack with a fleet almost double the size of the Republic one. In the following battle, the Republic lost many ships, but the Ralvi’si were destroyed to almost the last starcraft. Admiral Reru ordered all badly damaged ships to fall back, but that all ships capable to follow him to the coordinates that Jana had found when the ran into the Ralvi’si originally. They were about to depart when they received an urgent message to return to Coruscant. It said another fleet had been detected approaching Coruscant. The fleet turned around to head to Coruscant.

[edit] Coruscant Crisis

When Admiral Reru’s taskforce reverted into the Coruscant system, the battle was in full swing. The Coruscant Defense Fleet and the 4th fleet both were in the battle, but both were losing to the Ralvi’si fleet larger than the defense forces and Reru’s fleet combined. The newly-arrived fleet brought the odds up in the favor of the Republic. Soon the Ravli’si are destroyed, thought with many Republic causalities. But now new contacts are reported; the 2nd Fleet is nearly wiped out and New Carthage reports an attack. Terror rolls through Coruscant as the Ravli’si fleets are seemingly millions in number and are popping out of nowhere. The mystery is explained when Master Yoda reports that the chunks that came from the battle were attuned to the force, and could be grown by simply willing them to through the force. To demonstrate, Yoda triples the size of the material in a minute. This was proof that Kos Brenn could grow thousands of ships. The Supreme Chancellor supports the Jedi idea that a Jedi strike team should be sent to the Ralvi’si homeplanet and hopefully take over or stop the production and kill Kos Brenn. The strike team is assembled and the operation is planned within hours, and the operation, nicknamed SaberStrike, launched.

[edit] Operation SaberStrike

SaberStrike consisted of most of the 8th fleet and 35 Jedi. Leading all fleet operations was Admiral Reru. Saesee Tiin and Plo Koon both lead starfighter squadrons, and Mace Windu commanded the Jedi Strike Team. The fleet arrived at the Ralvi’si homeplanet, and by the plan Reru had drawn up, dispersed to their assigned positions while the Jedi landed groundside with Republic Troopers. The Operation went as well as it could have for a battle, and the Jedi arrived at Brenn’s fortress and barged their way in. They twenty Jedi strike force cleared their way through the various rooms and arrived in Brenn’s main chamber. Then they realized it was a trap.

Brenn had prepared very well for his Jedi visitors. Unfortunately, his hours of preparation were countered with fifteen minutes of extreme destruction. First went the grenade chutes; even Jana could easily hold the grenade in the chute with the force until it exploded, destroying a big chunk of the roof along with the chute. Next to go were the automated ceiling and ground turrets, which were taken with a well deflected blaster bolt or a force crush or pull from the more experienced Jedi Knights. The twenty Jedi were just finishing off the self-destructing recon droids when Kos finally made his appearance. And he was accompanied by a dozen HK-85’s and a small compact figure. Zata Vilm, former Mandalorian, was now a mercenary and had been hired by Kos Brenn because Zata had become obsessed with power. As the Jedi team finished Kos’s recon droids, Jana stepped forwards, verbally parrying with Breen.

"Do you take me as a fool—”
“Yes”
“That I would expect mere traps to kill a Jedi Strike Team. No, Centura, I am more creative than that. For example, you’re standing on proton bombs that will blow it three seconds. Good bye.
"
—Kos Brenn and Jana Centura, shortly before Brenn leaves.

Kos then revealed that there is another trap inside his first trap. Kos says the Jedi are standing on two bombs as the platform he is standing descends from the main chamber, leaving the Jedi to their fates. Fortunately, Mace Windu recognizes the danger and throws a massive force wave to sweep the Jedi out of the bomb’s radiance. Still, two Jedi were killed instantly, and five more were seriously injured. Of the remaining 13 Jedi, many had suffered burns, and all had immediate problems. Although both Brenn and Vilm had left, the HK-85’s hadn’t. Meanwhile, another dozen had come from behind the Jedi.

[edit] Trapped In

The uninjured members of the team tried to block the multitude of blasts coming from the HK-85's light repeating blasters, but three more Jedi were hit and killed by lasers. Fortunately, Aayla Secura and a platoon of CSF Troopers chose that moment to burst in, and a dozen HK's were knocked out in moments. The remaining HK's broke up into groups of three and scattered throughout the hanger. Zayin, Jana, and Arran went after one trio. They reached them in the corner of the hanger, where Arran and Jana double-teamed one and Zayin scrapped another. Jana and Arran turned to see a blaster bolt scorch through Zayin's shoulder from the other droid, and watched as Zayin's lightsaber flew from his grasp. The HK targeted for a death blow, and Arran and Jana were too far away to stop him. Jana couldn't even concentrate enough to force push it away. He simply will it to explode. It did. Ferus stared at him in shock, asking him what he had just done. Jana brushed it off, running to his master. Zayin was conscious, and told Jana to go after Brenn, because he was more important. Jana agreed reluctantly, but asked Arran to see to Zayin. Arran agreed even more reluctantly. Jana hurried off to finish Kos, this time once and for all.

[edit] The Final Fight

Joining Jana were Ose and Darra from the original strike team, and Aayla Secura. The team of four found Kos's escape route blocked by reinforced hatches, so Jana led the Jedi to the elevator shaft. Slicing through the elevator doors, the four Jedi grappled down to Kos's personal hanger bay at the bottom of the shaft and burst through the door. Kos had been watching a holoscreen displaying the raging battle overhead, but when the Jedi burst in, turned and chuckled coldly. Jana didn't waste time with words, instead he charged, snapping on both of his lightsabers while he ran. He engaged Kos almost at a sprint, making Brenn spin away. Then the two masters were on him, striking dozens of times. Kos dropped back, hard pressed, then did a double back-flip away from the Jedi. Both Aayla and Ose fell suddenly. Jana recognized a new threat: Zata Vilm was standing on the landing ramp of Brenn's personal starship cradling a shock rifle. Jana hoped that the rifle hadn't been on a high enough setting to kill Jedi. Then both Brenn and Vilm advanced on the two cornered Jedi padawans. Kos reached beneath his tunic and pulled out an amulet adorned with a single stone. From several meters away, Jana could fell it. It reeked of dark side energy, a nauseating feeling. Kos explained that Exar Kun had had his power transfered to the stone at his death. The amulet would give a dark side boost to its wearer. But no, Kos gloated, he had bound himself to the amulet, giving him all of Kun's power. He was as strong as Exar Kun now. He was undefeatable now, he said. Then Kos let go of the amulet and flicked his hand at Darra. Jana watched in horror as she flew back, slamming hard against the rock wall. Jana started to move to her, but realized it was pointless. Alive or not, Kos would kill her if he remained alive. His anger against Kos was building, but Jana made himself let it go. If anything, his anger would only hurt him; instead, Kos could draw on his rage and become even stronger. Jana grabbed a hold of the light side of the force in his mind and refused to let go. Seconds later, when Kos flicked his hand to send Jana smashing into the sharp point of metal protruding from the wall, Jana merely stumbled backwards a bit. He hadn't just enveloped himself with the force; at that moment, he was part of it. Every force sensitive in the galaxy would have felt it if he had died at that moment. Vilm raised his shock rifle, but was smashed hard into the durasteel plating of Brenn's ship by a vicious force push from Jana. Jana marched at Kos, his duel-phase lightsaber held by his side. Kos blasted electricity at Jana, but it was deflected. Finally, getting into range, Jana attacked. Kos was never a strong duelist, and was pressed back. Finally, Jana struck sideways, and Kos moved to block, but Jana flipped his lightsaber to its shorter mode. Kos shoved his saber in time to block the inevitable counter, but it didn't come. Instead, Jana had rolled, lashing out with his saber and snagging the amulet's chain. He snatched it with the force, and leapt back, away from Brenn. Brenn just smiled at Jana. Jana pushed at Brenn, expecting his to be blown away. Brenn didn't budge. Apparently, he still had the power, whether he retained the amulet or not. Jana swung his lightsaber to destroy the amulet, he realized the other reason why Brenn was smiling.. The blade slide off, leaving no apparent damage. Jana slashed again with the same effect. Jana was starting to lose he surge of power, and knew he had to stop Brenn now. He dropped the amulet and punched the air with his open hand. Had he not been sent reeling back from the energy drained out of him, he would of watched with satisfaction as the amulet dissolved to tiny pieces. What Jana did see was Brenn screaming before he dissolved to pieces just like the amulet. Kos Brenn was finally dead.

Jana's next thought was of Darra and the two Jedi masters. He made himself to summon up enough energy to get up. Both masters had been shot with a dose of electricity that would have been lethal to a non-Jedi, yet both Masters were alive and in stable condition. Darra was in worse condition. Her breathing was harsh, and her blood pressure very low. She was dying from the many gashes and cuts covering her body. And Jana knew he didn't have the energy to heal her. The attempt could kill him and probably still wouldn't heal Darra. Now Jana was getting angry. He couldn't just sit here and watch her die. His mind was telling him to go to sleep, but he forced it to think. Then he realized that there were three Jedi around him. If he could somehow use their energy, Darra might live. He reached out, and found the Master's presence in the force. He focused on transferring their energy to his body, and seconds later, the dizziness and tiredness receded. Next, he turned back to Darra. She was still and pale. Jana paused only to magnify his force presence so hopefully, Jedi could find him, before sending healing force energy over Darra's body.

[edit] Weapons and Traits

Jana's first lightsaber was crafted by himself. It was a basic, single-bladed blue lightsaber, and was destroyed by Kos Brenn. Jana owned his former master's saber as well, which was silver. His replacement for his first lightsaber was a duel-phase green, with the grip more suited for him.

Jana uses Form IV, Ataru, as his primary stance. He will also duel-wield with Jar'Kai. When fighting in both Jar'Kai and Ataru, he commonly draws from both Makashi and Soresu as well.

Jana is an extremely talented pilot. He could out fly his dad by age 6, and constantly beat the hardest Temple sims. Jana has technical skills as well, and many of the Chaotic Flame's upgrades were from his own hand. He is also a decent slicer.

[edit] Behind the scenes

  • The name Jana first came from me and my friend playacting Star Wars. We could never think of good made-up names and when I played around with Jacen and Jaina (I had known they were the Solo twins, and that was about it. I was 10 or so at the time) and came up with Jana, I though I'd keep it. Centura is simply a variation of Century.
