Jace Kyjar

Jace Kyjar was the son of Jedi Master Arlon Kyjar and Jedi Knight Assi Jenko. He was trained briefly in the ways of the Force by Jedi Master Sen Helto on Hoth.

[edit] Life as a child

Jace Kyjar was born on Telos to self-exiled Jedi Knight Assi Jenko and Jedi Master Arlon Kyjar. His mother had told him his father's name, but neglected to mention either of their roles in the Jedi. Jace was named after his great-grandmother, Lara Jace-Kyjar, as per Arlon's wishes.

Not knowing that he had the power of the Force, Jace spent his early years on Telos learning all he could about the galaxy. Once he reached age five, his mother took him out with her to help perform her civic duties that she still held as a Jedi exile.

Two years after that, Assi got a visit by an old, old man wearing a green cape with a thick grey mustache. Jace did not know at the time, but the man had informed his mother that her good friend Sen Helto was currently on Hoth. Because of this, Assi sent Jace to Hoth to meet with Sen and to be trained in the ways of the Force, but did not tell Jace this.

Jace got aboard the first shuttle that was heading out to Hoth. As you can imagine, not many shuttles go to Hoth from Telos, so he had to wait nearly half a year for this to happen. He packed all his things, bid his mother adue and went on his way to Hoth.

When he landed later that night, he walked off the ship with ease, as he was the only one on the ship other than the pilot. Looking out into the white plains he saw nothing but snow, as far as the eyes could see. There was a mountain randomly over to his right, but other than that there was nothing. Then there was a sound directly ahead of him, and he could see a small explosion of snow going up. He ran over to see what it was. When he got there, there was nobody and nothing, just a hole in the ground. Then he heard a voice from behind him.

"It seems the Force has brought us together for a reason, Jace. I assume your mother sent you, she always had her right wits about her. Don't worry, I'm one of her friends, and you have a legacy about you already. I sense your confusion, which tells me you don't know what you need to know. She will tell you, when you are ready to learn, but for now... You must learn. I am Sen Helto."

Jace spun around after the person was done his speech. To his suprise it was a Nautolan, very few of them on Telos. Since he said he was a friend of his mothers, Jace trusted him. But what must he learn? And what force brought him here? These were the things that he was about to learn for the next seven years.

Over the course of his time on Hoth, Sen taught Jace a lot about this "force", about the galaxy and many philisophical things. But he couldn't help but feel that there was something that Sen intentionally left out, something to do with his father, possibly his heritage or where he was all Jace's life.

Jace was taught to push and pull things without touching them, read people's thoughts, heal wounds, absorb damage, run extremely fast and jump very high. He also grew adept with a blade, given to him by Sen, in a form that he called Soresu. Jace had no idea what that meant, but knew that it wasn't very offensive.

Seven years after he had gotten to Hoth, Jace had learned much about the Force and how it works, but still had no knowledge about his father. Sen told him that it was time that he left, to go back to his mother. It seemed as though Sen also had somewhere to be, but he couldn't be sure.

Jace caught the next shuttle off of Hoth and headed back to Telos to speak to his mother, just as the Force had wanted him to.

When he arrived on Telos, he went to where he remembered his mother's place was and walked inside. She wasn't there, but everything was at he remembered. He walked over to a window and picked up a metallic cylinder that was sitting on a table nearby. He was then threatened from behind by a woman who had just entered. After thinking for a while, he realized it was his mother. They talked for a while, and he learned about his heritage and the Jedi, before being sent on his way to find a Master and go to Coruscant.

It didn't take long. As soon as he walked out the door, he met a Jedi Master by the name of Quill Ardius. Apparently, he was there visiting Assi as well, and they both caught the next shuttle off of Telos to the Station. Quill taught Jace the Jedi code, about the other factions and about many philosophies of the Jedi. When they started their training together, Quill disappeared for a while, forcing Jace to get a new master in Kyle Stellar, who had, coincidentally, been trained by Sen Helto. He has built himself a new lightsaber, though he didn't know it, it was modelled after Dexon Kyjar's. The force has something in mind for him.

While he was sitting on the Station during the day, he had become rather bored and decided that he wanted to get out. Looking in the main meeting area, he found Tyrn, the Count of Serenno and a quazi-Jedi-ish type guy. He figured that Tyrn would be able to give him an adventure and left Hoth with him, heading to Serenno to sort out some planetary deals there.

[edit] Behind the scenes

• Arlon Kyjar was originally not supposed to have a son. When his biography was posted on this site and the creator had either lost or become bored with the rest of his characters, he decided that Arlon would have a son. The Kyjar family had always been entertaining.
• Jace Kyjar is currently being role played by Steve Young on TheStarWarsRP.com to finish his story.
• This character was originally added in as backstory into Sen Helto's stay on Hoth and was an anonymous character. It was then decided it would only seem poetic if Sen taught his best friend's son in the ways of the Force.
