The Imperial Directorate (ID), original known as the Emperor's Hammer Directorate, was a political sect focusing on a particular region of the Emperor's Hammer space. In 28 ABY two important members of the EH Directorate set in motion a series of events that would lead to the split. As the plan was set into motion, Nyykl Orzon, with the aid of Salth Khan, seize control over a small portion of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet, and a majority of the Hammer's Fist. A good portion of the Civilian Officers, part of the Directorate, join Orzon and his new forces. After escaping Hammer Space the newly formed Imperial Directorate settled in Diadem sector.

Now in 31 ABY the Imperial Directorate as been reorganized, and now controls two major sectors of Imperial Space. The ID has moved away from the administration of planets, systems and sectors. The Directorate now focuses more towards the militarization/imperialization of the galaxy, using its reformed Navy and Legion. The ID still ensures the adequate governing of the territories under its domain using the reborn Imperial Senate. The Directorate also uses three important sub-groups to ensure its continuation.

[edit] Emperor's Hammer Directorate

In 17 ABY, one of the last Grand Admirals of the old Galactic Empire, set out on a mission to re-secure Imperial dominance over the Galaxy. GA Ronin, as he was known, gather some of the last surviving forces of the Imperial Remnant and brought them under one flag, and so the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet was born. As the EH developed they found more loyal Imperials to join the cause. Eventually the Strike Fleet consisted of its primary Navy, a TIE Fighter Corp, and a full Legion of stormtroopers. Ronin realized that the EH would have to start securing territories for itself. After capturing a number of star systems, Ronin established the Emperor's Hammer Directorate (EHDIR), three years after the EH was founded. The EH Directorate was concerned primarily with the rule of the loyal citizens of the Hammer. The Directorate was the legislative and executive power in the EH's Territories. Members of the Directorate are charged with writing and enforcing laws for the planets of the Emperor's Hammer, defending the Territories, and expanding them. The Directorate was given a small Naval Battlegroup, and only 2 Battalions of Troopers, to use as the peacekeepers for all of the Territories.

[edit] Split from the EH

In the year following the newly appointed Fleet Commander, Grand Admiral Astatine began to plan changes, that would ultimately lead to the implosion of the EH. First after trying to take over/away a major sub-group that was important to the EH, he in turn lost it, as it broke way from the Hammer's control. Two years later in 28 ABY the Deputy Grand Moff (DGM) of the EH Directorate began to hear whispers within the corridors of the EH High Command that the GA Astatine planned to either disband or severely hamper all of its subgroups. DGM Salth Khan began to work behind the scenes to find out more information. He learned that Astatine had planned to dismantle the EH Directorate, and five other very important sub-groups. His plan was the clean everything out of the EH except the Strike Fleet. When the DGM found all this out he went to the leaders of each of the subgroups and exposed the plan. Astatine quickly found out that they knew, and set out an attempt to undermine the Directorate's Grand Moff, Nyykl Orzon, which turned out to be his tactical mistake. Astatine tried to deny everything, even though there were holonet logs that had been collected that clearly showed him explaining his plans to several High Command members.

Over the course of the next two day the sub-groups made plans to split from the EH. The EH Directorate mobilized the quickest because of its personal military force. Moving very quickly the Grand Moff & Deputy Grand Moff of the EH Directorate gathered more than 90% of the Directorate's Personal and moved the bulk of the EHDIR's assets out of Hammer Space. The Grand Admiral was too blinded by his ambitions that he never saw it coming.

[edit] The New Directorate

The new Imperial Directorate (ID) set out to discover a new territory in the Outer Rim territories. They found various planets that were rich in resources and tactical advantages, and oddly enough were not claimed by any other organizations or entities. Arriving on Daltar, the forces of the ID set up their new headquarters, Gondor Base. The Ministry Council of the Imperial Directorate, the leading body of the EH Directorate, reformed itself changing the Deputy Grand Moff position to Prime Minister, as well as adding new Minister position. Quickly the Imperial Directorate solidifying its forces creating a new Imperial Navy and Imperial Legion. Over the Course of the next three years the Imperial Directorate would slowly move away from the administration of planets, systems and sectors and would focuses more towards the militarization of the galaxy.

[edit] Reorganization

In 30 ABY the Grand Moff of the Imperial Directorate, Executor Nyykl Orzon stepped down from office. After a unanimous vote by the Ministry Council the current Prime Minister, Grand Admiral Salth Khan, ascended to the Iron Thron. Shortly after his appointment to Grand Moff, Salth Khan realized that the ID was riding the line between politics and military, he decided that it was time for the Directorate to shake off the last vestiges of the EH. Dissolving the Ministry Council, he reformed the Directorate into a new military structure.

The new leadership was called the Military Council, and had the addition of Director positions, and the the change from minister to commanders. Along with these changes it was agreed by the newly established Military Council that the leader of the Imperial Directorate should no longer be referred to by the title of Grand Moff, but by the supreme military title of Executor. But he knew that some how the ID would have to retain control over its territories so he order the re-creation of the Imperial Senate.

With all the new changes in command the military itself was revamped. Both the Navy and Legion were reorganized. The Navy had the addition of the Starfighter Corps, and the Legion was joined by the most loyal of all stormtroopers, re-creating the 501st Legion. The Imperial University & Central Directorate Governor's Institute were also revamped to better the recruitment & training efforts of the ID. Also with the addition of the Imperial Directorate Exchange & Imperial Department of Strategic Development & Military Research the forces of the ID will continue to flourish for many years, as one of the most dominate Imperial factions to date.

[edit] Government and politics

[edit] Executive branch

During the time of the Emperor’s Hammer Directorate the executive branch of the Directorate was know as the Ministry Council (MC). At the time the MC only consist of the essential civil leaderships. When the Directorate broke away from the Emperor’s Hammer, the Ministry Council was kept as the executive branch. Because the new Imperial Directorate wasn’t just focused on planet, system, or sector administration, and because the Directorate now had its own military force, the MC was reformed to include new Minister positions, and its new military commanders. In 31 ABY when the ID was placed under martial law, the executive branch was reorganized from a civil oriented leadership to a more military oriented leadership. Changing all Minister position to Directors, and disbanding the use of the Grand Moff title. The Executive Branch is now completely controlled by the military, and is not involved with any civilian affairs.
