Ike Carcharias was an Ithorian Jedi Master. He was born in 57 BBY on the planet Ithor. He was on the Jedi Council preceding and succeeding the Coo-Neo Crisis. He was also noted for not taking a Padawan during his tenure. He was one of the Jedi on the pro-Borek side of the Jedi Council schism regarding his status as the Chosen One. He believed in the creation of a clone or droid army to protect the Republic after the incident involving Coo-Neo. He fought in the Great Galactic War and the succeeding Star Wars.

Early life[]
Ike had a poor childhood growing up on Ithor. His parents were in the lower class of his herd and could barely continue to feed and care for Ike. One day in 50 BBY Ike was playing near a repulsorlift cooling vent near the repulsor-city's outskirts and the steam burned his left arm, killing most of the tissue on that appendage. A nearby Jedi Knight saw the event and grabbed Ike before further damage was done. The Jedi put him under anesthesia, the Knight used the Force to keep him stable while he brought Ike to the hospital in the slums. The doctor's were forced to amputate the limb. His parents came to the hospital praising the Jedi, whom was upset for their negligence. The parents quickly agreed to give Ike to the Jedi so 'he can live a better life.' Ike came to the Temple and received a new mechanical limb to replace his missing one.

Ike's last name Carcharias is the name of a genus of shark, while the Ithorian species are known to look like sharks and are even called 'Hammerhead' like the Hammerhead shark.
