The Galactic Credit Standard, usually referred to as a credit, was the main unit of currency used in the galaxy. During the time of the Galactic Republic, credits were known as Republic Dataries. After the rise of the Galactic Empire, the galaxy's main currency was changed to Imperial Credits.

In the Republic of P'ur, the "credit" was known as a P'urik.
