Come on, people. Citing "Google Images" and "Yahoo! Images" as the source of your image? This has gone too far. As Ozzel said it on his userpage, citing Google or Yahoo! images is like citing the library in a research paper. I suggest we do a major edit and correctly source all images. Example - Image:AnakinPadme.JPG. I know, Rhea, you probably didn't know at the time.—Darthtyler Scuba_Diver.gif Talk 03:39, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Normally I would agree that citing Google Images is like putting "The Library" as a research paper source, but that image had been on my computer for so long and I couldn't find the website that I found it. It was better than nothing. - President Brandon Rhea (Pressroom) (Accomplishments) 03:48, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I'll go try to find it by typing in "Anakin Padme ghost" or something.—Darthtyler Scuba_Diver.gif Talk 03:59, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

  • My thoughts exactly, Tyler. (Regarding your first post) As Brandon said, I don't remember the source of some of my old images, so I either look it up again (On Google, Yahoo, or DeviantArt) and if I can't find it (or don't feel like looking) I instead put {{no source}}. --Don Victor, Sr. (contact) 06:08, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Alright, well I suggest a massive (well maybe not massive) but large search for images with Google and Yahoo as their source and finding the images exactly where the previous uploader found them. And, using this handy page, it should be easier.—Darthtyler Scuba_Diver.gif Talk 20:02, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
      • I tried to group them here. I just searched "Google" and "Yahoo" under the image namespace.—Darthtyler Scuba_Diver.gif Talk 20:25, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Per above. Usually, it shouldn't be too hard to get the exact (or as close to exact) source as possible, but Google Images changes quite frequently (imo) and some images are removed either to do copyright violations or are moved a couple pages down for whatever reason. Many images used in my older articles I found on Google, but I recently tried to source them, and I couldn't find the image I used. -- JM76 Ask Archives 05:27, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
