Marek Joesph, sometimes referred to by his nickname "Mighty", was a rogue Jedi mercenary who fought in the Catholic-Christian Holy War.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Not much was known about his early life, although he was born on Utapau and his parents seemed to be very religious in the Catholic faith and had also been adequate in the Force. Despite this, his parents would not let the Jedi recruiters take him to the Jedi temple, but agreed to him receiving a Jedi tutor to increase his proficiency in the Force.
Catholic-Christian Holy War[]
During the year of 55 ABY, a war had started against the United Catholic-Christians and New Republic Remnant, due to a new bill created by the New Republic restricting public displays of faith. Marek Joesph volunteered for the United Christian-Catholic Army and, due to his Force powers, was appointed squad leader before even seeing combat. Although the C-CA was highly disorganized, due to being relatively new faction, Marek did keep a journal from his first mission and many others thought there were inconsistencies in his journal.

Marek kept a journal from his days in the Christian-Catholic Army. Oddly, he never put any dates in his journal.

It's been two months since I've signed up, and I'm already going into combat against the Republic. It's unnerving, yet exciting. The only guy I've really bonded with is Bangs, a support gunner. He is very lighthearted and funny. He hardly seems to fit the profile of a support gunner.......

It is assumed after this was written that he went out into combat somewhere in the 5th Front region. According to official war files, Marek was on a sabotage mission to take out numerous tank weapons. It is also pointed out in personal files that he was a rifleman at this point.

When I saw it happen, I didn't believe it. Bangs was shot right in front of me. I had heard that the hardships faced in boot camp can't even compare to watching your own guys being shot. Only now do I believe them. War was nothing like I imagined, I guess I was hoping for at least some civility.
