Executive Order 9287, formally titled Loaning of Military Vessel to the New Jedi Order to Improve Strategic Alliance-Jedi Partnership and Effective Jedi Protection in the Aftermath of the Destruction of The Will of the Force, was an executive order issued by acting Chief of State Jhon Cordatus, a member of the Jedi High Council who was serving during the transition to a new official Chief of State, in 1,011 ABY.[1]
The order was issued in response to an attack by the New Sith Imperium that destroyed The Will of the Force, the flagship of the New Jedi Order. The order transferred ownership of a Galactic Alliance starship to the command of the Jedi and re-christened it the Light of the Force.[1]
