The Duel on Dagobah was a skirmish. Darth Ultima and Darth Valorous's long search for the Kaiburr Crystal led them to the swamp world of Dagobah. Meanwhile Jedi Master Deji Skywalker took a trip to the distant world to take a shot at finding the legendary crystal.

Eventually the three met up near the remains of the late Jedi Master Yoda's hut. Darth Ultima, craving revenge on Deji, attacked instantly firing a horde of Force Lightning. Deji easily deflected the blow with the newly discovered Gray Force. Darth Ultima continued his savage assault. Blinded by rage, Ultima was unable to catch the shifty Jedi. Using a more focused Sith move, Ultima was able to stun Deji temporarily. Meanwhile, Darth Valorous slipped away to the Kaiburr crystal. Noticing that Valorous had found the crystal, Darth Ultima reluctantly broke away from his fight with Deji. Still bubbling with energy, Deji followed Ultima to the Kaiburr Crystal. Worried that Deji would overpower him again, Ultima absorbed the Kaiburr Crystal fusing its force energy with his own. The result gave him an immense amount of force energy. His force presence was magnified ten-fold and his power was felt across the galaxy. Darth Ultima then achieved a status that may have surpassed the founding members of the Jedi order themselves. He even attracted the long dead spirits of the Dark Lords of the Sith. not wanting to have to flee again, Deji immersed him self in the power of the Gray Force almost matching Ultima's power. the clash of the two was so great it cracked the surface of the planet itself. Darth Valorous, never before seeing such power, retreated to the safety of the Ultima Shadow. Realizing that he had practically beat Deji, Darth Ultima left the battered Jedi to waste.
