The Star Wars is the project name for an alternate version of the Star Wars universe, originally made by George Lucas. The saga was announced by the author, Andrew Barton, in July, 2008. Star Wars: Episode I - Turmoil of the Force, a fanfilm and the first installment, is set to be released in 2009.
The saga was inspired by The Dark Knight. Barton is considering making Episodes VII-IX, which would chronologically follow Return of the Jedi. Though The Force Unleashed is an official story by Lucasfilm, the author considers it to be part of his saga.
