Dolu
The Star Wars wiki of fan invention.
The native language for all the Dolucians was the language of Dolu. The language was first used several thousand years before the Sons of Bogan had arrived, so it was considered an archaic and primitive language. It was considered infamous around the galaxy for its deep, guttural sounds and elongated letter pronunciation. Their language used slurred vowels and thick, accented constants, making it difficult for many of the offworlders to understand them, even if they were introduced to the language.
Dolu was a difficult language to learn, and many sentients spent their whole lives trying to become fluent in it. The language was known to have thousands of words that were based off of concepts and ideas rather than objects, making conversations difficult and speeches long-winded.
The Sons of Bogan adopted the language to communicate with the people, although initially progress was difficult. It was not until the Argent Consuls were appointed to assist the regional governors did they finally learn the language efficiently. The Galactic Republic had no such patience, and forced the Dolucians to conform to Galactic Basic. Within several years, the language of Dolu had been forced out of use, and remained only in several scrolls and holocrons that housed ancient information. Even their alphabet system, which was much simpler than their speech, was replaced by aububesh.
Although many older Dolucians disliked the change and hated how the younger generation conformed to the whims of the Republic, they could do little to prevent it. The language was temporarily revived during the Clone Wars in response to the nationalistic fervor that swept the Doluc system, although its popularity waned yet again under Imperial rule. By the time the Vancita Alliance conquered the system, Dolu had been almost forgotten by the Dolucians.
