Vezz Esaro Zaranoth or Darth Zezik was a Grand Jedi Master (former Sith Lord). He was a Jedi from the age of 15 until the age of 18. He was taken from his family at the age of 15, and his family was killed a week later by Darth Sidious. However, in the year of 8 ABY, Vezz was redeemed as a Jedi. He yet again served the Republic.

During his time as a Sith, he had a total of 3 apprentices. Vezz Zaranoth was a Jedi from 23 BBY - 19 BBY, and became a Sith Lord in 19 BBY after impaling his Jedi Master Tviel'k Ajhoh. He was a sith until 8 ABY, when he became redeemed as a Jedi. Vezz served for many years after that, facing many trials, and even marrying and having a family.

When Vezz was 119 years old, he passed on of old age on the planet of Coruscant. Vezz appeared later on to both his son and his grandson, then finally faded into the force and became one with it.

[edit] Early Years

Vezz Zaranoth was a Coruscanti born to Mr. and Mrs. Oran Zaranoth. Vezz was always the worthless one, which is what his father always reminded him of. Later on in his life, Vezz was found by a Jedi Master named Tviel'k Ajhoh in 23 BBY. He was rejected at first by the Jedi council because of his age, but Tviel'k convinced them to let him train Vezz.

Vezz trained a while at the Jedi Temple before his journey. After disappearing, Vezz looked for his master until he came up with a name of the captor: Iadas Typhos.

[edit] The Clone Wars

Before his first assignment, Vezz began tracking a bounty hunter named Iadas Typhos. When he found the bounty hunter, Vezz pulled out his lightsaber and killed him.

On his first mission, (23 BBY) Vezz and his master went to Dantooine to bring force sensitive children to Coruscant, but Vezz got sidetracked. He saved Drako Elcarna from a group of Huands. After seeing that Drako had a horrible life, Vezz promised he'd return to save him.

It was during this time when Vezz began having visions of a dark figure, and in these visions he saw the hooded man taking out a crimson lightsaber and killing what appeared to be some sort of Clone Trooper army. Years later, it was revealed to be Vezz, as a Sith, killing Stormtroopers.

On a mission to Yavin 4 in 19 BBY, Vezz spied on a trooper. He saw the clone talking to Palpatine. After the clone told the soon to be Emperor that Order 66 would be done, Vezz ran to warn his master. They ran to their shuttle, and were surrounded by Clone Troopers. He drew his lightsaber and prepared to fight. The clones told him that he would not be killed if he aided them. Vezz, out of tremendous fear of death, turned around, and without enough time to block, Tviel'k was impaled through the heart.

Vezz took a shuttle to the capitol to stop the clones from raiding the temple, but as he arrived Yoda and Obi-Wan-Kenobi left. He believed the threat was over. But he was wrong. Terribly wrong. He suffered much from the death of his master, and did not want to reveal what happened to the remaining Jedi, so he fled as far as his starfighter could take him. The dark side overwhelmed Vezz, and he went into hiding on a remote planet in the outer rim territories where he went by the name Darth Zezik.

Vezz decided to go back to Dantooine to find Drako so he could train him. Vezz found Drako and Vezz declared himself Dark Lord of the Sith, and went under the title of Darth Zezik. Zezik taught Drako the force for half a day, and he returned home and force choked, used force lightning, and stabbed his stepfather in the throat with Zezik's lightsaber. Drako then took the name of Darth Maldorn.

When Vezz finally felt it was time for Maldorn to go on his own, Darth Zezik took up training a new apprentice, Darth Sardoc after being found hiding on Tantooine. Zezik disappeared after the battle of Yavin, and left the system.

Many believed him to be dead, but he was actually at the edge of the galaxy, training a new Sith, whom came to be known as Darth Zain. Vezz returned to the core in 7.5 ABY, and was shocked that the empire was no more. He became so inexplicably evil that he was ready to destroy the universe. Then, later on in his life, when he and Zain were ready to take on the Jedi, he took it upon himself to find his former apprentices, Maldorn and Darth Sardoc. He could not find Maldorn, but he did find Sardoc. He hid. Hid... and waited. Waited... until he could strike. The time.. when the Jedi would fall. He needed somone. He needed Maldorn.

Zezik could not find Maldorn, but Maldorn found him. Once he did, he kept a close watch on not only Zezik, but Zain as well. He waited until Vezz's defenses were down. Then, when they finally were, Zezik was at a local bar with Zain, in disguise, watching Holosports. Maldorn waited. He knew his old master was weak once drunk. When Zezik went to the alley alone for a "rest", (which is what he told Zain) he pulled out some deathsticks. He was on drugs. Now was the time to strike. Maldorn crept up behind Zezik, waited, and when Vezz turned around, Maldorn impaled Vezz trough the heart. Vezz then spoke and so did Maldorn.

Zain ran out and whipped all he could into Maldorn. Maldorn, weakened, crept back into the shadows of Coruscant. Zain had to get Zezik to a Med center. Fast. He hopped onto a speeder bike and sped to the nearest Medcenter. Zezik was going to be fine. But Zezik, floating in that bacta tank, realized the same thing that Sardoc had: He will become a Jedi once more. A Jedi by the name his family gave him: Vezz Zaranoth.

[edit] The Return of Vezz, The Jedi

He floated there for a while. Vezz wanted to be redeemed by the council. He needed to stop Maldorn. Vezz burst out of the bacta tank, and the med-droids reacted. Since Vezz wanted to bring peace, not destruction, he simply blocked the droids path with a force wall. He ran out to find Zain to turn him to the light. When he couldn't find him, he voyaged to the Jedi Temple. There, up the stairs, was someone he knew. Someone familiar. He studied the male for a moment, then continued up te stairs. He recognized the face, but Vezz just couldn't rememer who it was. Then, he was in the council chambers. He begged for forgiveness and to be redeemed. An unamed Jedi stood up. He explained that they would not tolerate treachery among the Jedi ranks. Vezz pleaded, and the Jedi gave in. He was yet again a Jedi. He would hunt every last sith down until they were wiped from existence. All but one. Zain. Where was he? He went to the bar to ask if Zain was seen after the fight, but no one knew. They did not even remember him. He wasn't surprised. Drunks did not usually remember unknown faces. Especially drunk Coruscanti humans. He had to search on his own.

[edit] The Unknown Jedi

Vezz went to the Jedi Library, now partially re-built, for answers. There, Vezz saw the same Jedi he saw in the temple, watching, waiting. Vezz got up to talk to him, but the male walked away. Vezz followed until it came to the point of chasing and then, a lightsaber duel. Sabers clashed, and in the depths of the library, they got a good look at each others faces. Then Vezz realized something. This wasn't just another Jedi. This was someone he knew. This was Vexx Zaranoth, his brother.

Vexx had gone missing when Vezz was ten, leading everyone to believe he was dead. Vezz knocked his opponent's saber to the ground, and when Vexx went to grab it, Vezz used a Sith power to hold Vexx in midair. He questioned him, asking him about everything before putting him down. Vexx, under the alias of Ben Jafisik, had become a Jedi, and Vexx left home because he had a premonition of Vezz turning to the Dark side. Since Vezz had yet to become a Jedi, Vexx believed that he could save his brother with the proper training when the time came.

Vezz asked his brother to fight for his cause against the sith. Vezz agreed. Side by side, the brothers would hunt down every last sith and destroy them.

[edit] The Discovery

The brothers searched for 2 years, hunting down and killing every Sith they could find. But when Luke Skywalker found them, he explained that peace was the way of the Jedi, not destruction. Vexx did not agree, and a battle with Luke ensued. In the end, Vexx was wounded badly and Luke ran away. Vezz was left with a deep guilt. Vexx was dead. Killed by a Jedi Master. Vezz would not continue hunting sith. Suddenly, from out of the shadows, Zain leaped at Vezz. Their sabers clashed, and the two former friends fought. Zain cursed Vezz, telling him how he abandoned him in the street of Corsucant. Vezz asked why he left him to survive, since he believed that he was a true sith. He said that it was because he was saving him for his new master: Darth Maldorn.

Feeling betrayed, Vezz questioned Zain while dueling about why he began training with Maldorn. He explained that Vezz was not allowing Zain to use his full potential, so Zain searched for a new user. He then told Maldorn that they would be at the bar, where he could take out Vezz. But, since Maldorn did not finish him off, Zain pretended to fight Maldorn for the sake of Vezz, but knocked him out. While Vezz was unconscious, Maldorn told him to take him to the medcenter so that he could take care of a healthy Vezz Zaranoth. So, now that the time was ready, Zain was back, to finish his master's last wish, the wish Maldorn gave Zain before...he murdered him.

Zain and Vezz fought all over Coruscant. They leaped, they kicked, they swung, they fought. When Zain knocked Vezz off of his feet, Zain grabbed Vezz's lightsaber. He ignited it, and prepared to strike. Then, someone jumped out at Zain. He was on the edge of a building.

The person looked over at Vezz. Vezz noticed the person was glowing. It was a force ghost. Then, the person took Vezz's lightsaber from Zain's hand, making him almost slip and fall. Then, The force ghost turned around. He through Vezz the lighsaber. Vezz looked at the man's face. It was the force ghost of Darko Elcarna. He smiled, and Drako turned around.

Somehow, Drako came back to reality, and regained his body right there and then. He was once again Human. Drako looked at Vezz and said "Thank You." Soon after, Drako, now redeemed, picked up Zain, and with all of his might, grabbed Zain and held him up against his body, and jumped off the building. They were gone.

[edit] The Rest of His Days

After losing his friend and enemy, Vezz went on to lead a very fulfilling lifestyle. He came to forgive Luke Skywalker for the death of his brother and he later (around 20 ABY) moved to Korriban, where he decided to learn all he could about the force, but not use rage, or anger with the force.

In time, Vezz mastered the force and, like Darth Plagueis, learned to save the ones he loved from dying. Vezz later married when he returned to Coruscant and had a son with Veranda Kal, Vexx Zaranoth, whom he named in honor of his brother. Vezz died sometime around 100 ABY on Coruscant of old age and was burned by his family as a Jedi honor. Within the flames, Vezz's body completely disapeared. He was one with the force.

[edit] Legacy

Vezz was honored as a great Jedi, and a holo-novel was written about him by Ytor Namill and eventually placed in the new Jedi archives. Years later, it was read by Darth Krayt, who then made it into a holocron somehow and then used the holocron to make his own.

In 106 ABY, Vezz appeared to his son while he was fighting Darth Grandon. After Vexx defeated Grandon, Vezz was finally able to tell his son about his life, because he never got much time with his son while he was alive. Four days later, Vezz faded, and told him that he'd always be there watching over him.

In honor of his father, Vexx named his son Vezz Zaranoth. Vezz was able to activate Zezik's sith holocron that Vezz left on Korriban when he visited. Vezz believed that his grandfather had always been a Sith, and in honor of his grandfather, became a Sith Lord and ruled over the galaxy at least two years before his grandfather appeared to him and told him that the Zaranoth Legacy was not of sith, but of Jedi. Vezz then finally faded eternally into the force.

[edit] Personality and traits

Vezz was usually a patient human, but at times could be extremely reckless and insecure. He would never question his master, about anything, and seemed like the perfect jedi. Until Order 66, that is. Vezz is known for using the Force Strike, a power known only to him. (He is the only user of the power)

Vezz's eyes, when he is not sith, continuously changed because of a birth defect he was born with. For example, the color will change from brown, to green, to blue. Vezz had much respect for Jedi master Yoda and he even made a statue of him at the Jedi Temple after his death.

Vezz made his first saber back in 23 BBY on Coruscant and his saber got cut in two when he came back to the Star Wars Galaxy with Darth Zain. He then made another saber and may have made at least one more before his death in 100 ABY.

• This character is the main character in Star Wars: The Other, and the first few issues will be all about him, and the story will center around Other Sith and Jedi in the SW universe during a few different Eras.
• This character was created by Troy Hillman.
• His full name was Vezz Ez Zaranoth but it later became Vezz Esaro Zaranoth.
• Vezz was a character that Vezz801 used in 6th/7th grade as the main antagonist in a comic series created by him and his friends, and since the comic was cancelled, Vezz was given a last name and placed in the Star Wars Universe. Vezz had a brother, the main protagonist, named Vexx. Troy Hillman has said that Vexx will make an apperance in an upcoming comic, only after Vezz is redeemed though. He will be Vexx Zaranoth, a local politician.
• Vezz is portrayed by Troy A. Hillman, his creator, in early years, and Troy's grandfather, Ken Hillman, in Vezz's later years.
